I kinda agree. He comes across as a spoilt child who now, has to tie his shoe. Poor guy, life is terrible.
Plus, there is no way that interview wasn't prepared by PR, to launch his new career as Liam : The Nice Guy vs the mean ex-wife, vs the mean ex-brother and vs the mean ex-band members.
Kinda puts the blame on the fall of BDI on the other guys as well, that's not very nice. Gem seemed motivated, and Andy or Chris couldnt be bothered, there's always other people. Excuse fail to me. Where are these bits in the interview? Staggering, innit? Not once does Liam mention Nicole, and never does he mention any of the members of Beady Eye (apart from Andy, in passing, just to say that he wanted to get back with his mate from Ride, and that he, Liam, was fine with that). So to say he puts the blame on the fall of Beady Eye on others with what he says in this interview, is nothing other than a complete fabrication. People see what they want to see, I guess.

People see what they want to see, I guess. It's interpretation. Can definitely see both sides. Had a few bits where I went "oef, yikes Liam, dangerous wording" myself.

I read the interview and I really have mixed feelings about it. No doubt this post will get the Liam brigade on my back, but here we go. On the one hand, I'm really happy Liam got his life back and found the motivation to record new stuff. All good, nothing to comment on that. Plus he comes across as a funny and likeable guy during the first few pages... Then the talk about Noel starts. To put it bluntly, Liam reminds me of a friend who got dumped by this girl years ago and is still obsessed about her. He needs to fucking move on. I find it really ironic that Liam calls Noel out on his massive ego (which he has, by the way) when that is the main problem that keeps Liam from being satisfied, really. He could easily embark on a solo career (he had the best songs in Beady Eye), record an acoustic-based album and play acoustic shows with a band in small venues. His songs are suited for that and he could put on good performances as he wouldn't need to strain his voice as much. Not to mention that he would be devoting himself to his passion (the ultimate success in life). The fans would be happy and so would Liam. But he won't do that because he couldn't stand being any less successful than his brother (in the boring sense, i.e., sales, concert attendance, etc.). No, instead he chooses to bitch about Noel on Twitter.
Liam talks about not wanting to reform Oasis and a few pages later he's begging Noel for one more tour. Why would an Oasis reunion be such a bad idea? The answer is easily found on the last page. Just look at his comments on Noel's stuff. No sax, please, we're British. The risk for another Heathen Chemistry would be pretty high.
In short, I hope Liam moves on for once, finishes the album, writes Liam Gallagher in big bold letters on the cover, releases the record, and moves his acoustic performances from the pub to the stage, which is where they belong. And that the two brothers never cross paths (musically speaking) again. All for our benefit.
For sure. I'm excited that Liam is on the up and up with new music coming our way but let's not pretend we haven't heard this Liam act before. When he split from Patsy he went on and on about finding solace and true love with Nicole Appleton. Going into recording of DGSS and BE, we heard how Liam was cutting down on smoking and running 5 miles a day to be in shape for touring and making music. We've also heard him rip Noel repeatedly in all these instances. The only part that interests me is Liam making music again. I'd prefer a solo career but I'll take this new band or whatever it ends up being. Make it modern, hip and fresh. Wait, did I just say that about a Gallagher brother?

Thats oasis most punk song, and thats the punk way to perform it For me punk rock isn't about putting on a leather jacket, playing at 100mph or indeed snarlingly cutting lines short- it is about an attitude in all art forms and ways of life of being decent to people, honest in how you live your life and truthful not deceitful. So with that in mind the way Liam was singing Cigarettes & Alcohol had nothing to do with punk, and was rather a front man who for whatever (much discussed to say the very least) reasons was having trouble with the song. Oh and if it's purely the 1976 sound of punk we are talking rather than anything before or after it, then I would go with a b-side to 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' potato chorus is so annoying there...

potato chorus is so annoying there... Oh I don't know, I think it compliments sausage fingers singing quite well * * Since we are resorting to using the brothers own insults about each other

He's happy, having a good time, recording songs, meeting a milkman. Let him do that. Stop worrying about his private life bullshit, wether it's a solo album or not, Andy Bell, what would Noel think about this and who knows what else . Go outside, meet your milkman. Have a good day.

I thought milkmen were a thing from the 1980's until I read that....the last ones I remember seeing were the Kirby & West ones in the early 1990's......

Getting a distinct sense of de ja vu from the Gallagher brothers is one of music's oldest tropes - and I don't just mean listening to their music either.

Not that I want it to happen (it could be a good thing) but what would happen if Noel's third will be a disaster and Noel gets out the bubble?
And something else: will the buzz of the return of Liam Gallagher album be big enough to be #1 ?

I literally see a milkman delivering bottles to local offices every day and I for one think it's great that that trade still lives on etc... just saying...
Thought the interview / feature was good. Not the most amazing piece of music journalism you'll ever read (or, maybe I should say "you'll have read in the past", cos music journalism these days tends to be a bit shit...) but good on Liam, Q and the interviewer for delivering a decent article!!
Some of the stuff Liam says might seem a bit redundant / repetitive / implausible or even PR-led etc... But then again, whose stuff isn't?? In that line of work, that's what you do, right?!

The way some on here try to dissect Liam's psyche and what he should or shouldn't do does my head in.

And something else: will the buzz of the return of Liam Gallagher album be big enough to be #1 ? It really depends on the strength of his debut single. I'm not sure if the name Liam Gallagher alone would be enough to catapult his album to the #1 spot. Remember that DGSS and BE only charted at 3 and 2 in the UK, partly due to fierce competition in the same week. His name alone won't be enough to shift enough units. That's your cue to rise to the occasion, Liam!
