Here's what happened to Ronaldo And it wasnt even a foul. Payet had a similar tackle and the portugueses player was booked. I wanted France to win but not like this.

The wankiest final for the wankiest tournament.
Good riddance to Euro 2016.

Horrible tournament, horrible final. Aside from Wales and Iceland, that was horrendous.
Thank god it's over.

Ronaldos tournament, carried Portugal to the final then was virtually managing them at the end there, a real leader. Awful tournament though.

Horrible tournament, horrible final. Aside from Wales and Iceland, that was horrendous. Thank god it's over. Honestly, I can't believe how few good games there actually were. Group stage was a snoozefest for the most part, mostly because of the new rules, and it never got any better. Portugal's results after 90 minutes: 1:1 0:0 3:3 0:0 1:1 2:0 0:0 For a grand total of 7:5 goals in 7 games. That is so fucking boring - but they won because nobody played any better. It certainly didn't help that so many below-average teams diluted the group stage - although that was how we got Wales and Iceland.

Their results against 'big teams' don't merit them as being 'bang average' in my opinion.

the so called weak teams, all wouldve been there no matter the format. iceland, albania, slovakia and wales all qualified second, while austria and n.ireland topped their groups. portugal did what they had to, but they never played good football. and congrats to ronaldo, but this was another sh!t tourney from him...by his standards anyway.

He was mostly average and Portugal looked more composed after he left the final. Ronaldo's tournament it aint. Its not like Maradonna carrying the 86' World Cup team.

true. but nani was just as important overall i think. and with the fixtures he had, a player like ronaldo couldve torn it up on his day. not to take anything away from him tho. im no fan, but you cant deny his quality...

He did a couple of things to help Portugal win a couple of games. That doesn't constitute owning the tournament, all the teams who reached the semi finals would have had a couple of those. I'm sure Ronaldo will find a way to claim he was the reason they won being the classless prick he is but he was average at best like his team.

He wasn't at anywhere near his best but he still scored or assisted 6 of the 7 goals Portugal scored when he was on the pitch.

2 of his three goals were against Hungry. If you are looking for the man of the tournament the i would say it has to be Griezman

Renato Sanches was pretty great. Granted, he plays for Bayern now so I'm kinda biased, but for an 18-year old he was extremely impressive.
Griezmann was scary though - really looked like the perfect striker.

Sanches looks like a cracking player, the boy at left back for Portugal is a fine player too. Pepe is a twat but he is an excellent defender.

Ronaldos a leader, you saw it last night at the end of the game where he was acting like the manager and earlier in the tournament when he was coaching players before taking pens. He pretty much dragged Portugal through the tournament with assists and important goals. He was their talisman and ended up with a winners medal.Griezmann? yeah he was good but he wasn't Frances' leader (when they needed one) and ended up in 2nd place, he also missed some big chances last night. I'm not Ronaldos biggest fan but it's his tournament and cemented his place as one of the world's greatest. Even look at Messi who pretty much crumbled in the Copa America, then took the huff and retired afterwards.
