Talking of the Oasis film I assume "The Longest Cocktail Party" has been shelved- the last I saw of it was in November 2014 when Jesse Armstrong from Peep Show gave an update on it's progress- NME The article does mention though issues relating to licensing The Beatles music dating back to 2011, so unless that and any other issues get resolved I assume it's off. I think he's talking about the one made by the same people as the Amy one, the documentary that covers the peak years. Yes I got that, though being me I didn't make that clear- the mention of the documentary reminded me of that film as well

Sure Liam has some stashed , plus I've never been married. But this may be the wealth they amassed during marriage , , if Liam only has 11 million for that success that's pathetic They just released prince net worth. Over 300 million. That's a buisnesssman You and me both pal, though possibly for different reasons i.e. me looking like Shrek and Wayne Rooney's love child playing Brando in Apocalypse Now Liam and Prince are apples & oranges as a comparison to be honest. Prince has sold over 100,000,000 where he is the copyright owner in some cases, the publisher or co-publisher in most and songwriter in virtually all cases. Add to this that he is a solo artist with an array of hired hands for each project rather than band members as a partnership, and minus expenses and professional fees all revenue accrued is paid to him. Liam by contrast has sold fewer records, albeit still a very substantial amount, and as part of a band where he is not the main songwriter or the highest earner from the partnership. The copyrights to the recordings are owned by third parties, and so his income is purely royalties based, which can actually be one of the lower revenue streams depending on the terms of your deal. He is also at a critical stage of his non-music business career with Pretty Green, whereby the next two years and potential deals in place could see Pretty Green easily go from an eight figure to nine figure valuation, which would increase the value of Liam's roughly 1/3 stake by a very significant amount. A final point is alot of assets such as bonds, properties and shares are based on market value. The two things to consider here is that firstly each one can take a different time to realise the value, e.g. if you have a house valued at £5,000,000 you have £5,000,000 in assets, but to get that into liquid cash means selling it over the period of time that it takes, and also minus professional fees and potentially taxes. The second is valuations of such assets can change with market forces, meaning Prince or anyone on the list can see a major fall or rise in the value, which is why you see people moving numerous places down and up the lists each year. Hey don't knock yourself , my whole life I've gotten I look like John travolta. Which is great. Or ozzy which sux lol. At this point I really don't care i know prince and he are apples and oranges , was just sayin I think that 11 million is from there marriage. I ,may be wrong tho

I ,may be wrong tho Being the accountant that I am, that net worth is the total valuation of their combined assets at this point, whether previously earned or during the marriage- I would assume that the bulk is Liam's but that is purely speculation based on their respective careers. As I put in the other long winded posts it doesn't take into account future earnings or valuations of assets such as Pretty Green or future musical ventures of any sort. Ozzy or Travolta? If you could combine the former's lunacy with the latter's looks you may have hit upon a winning Rock n' Roll star formula!

Saddest thing is the news about Liam not returning to music... gotta be BS though, I predict we've gotta definitely see something in 2016. Then again, would you want to do any work if you thought 50% was gonna go to your ex? "Is it worth the aggravation. To find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for? It's a crazy situation. But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol." never felt so apt.. Not a good day for music man.

Is it really? Both have new partners and both look happy when they're with them, if you can go by that. And both have at least GBP 5.000.00,--! Could have gone worse! As Liam obviously had fallen for his current partner in a case of horrible timing, I think we can assume that even without the baby scandal that marriage was on its way out. These things are never pretty for the one that gets left behind and cheated on, but they even happen to "normal" people, just without everybody knowing about it. Also I've read before yet another of those tabloid things where our famous "source close to" sensationally said that Peggy Gallagher will see her sons over Christmas (wow!) and wants familiy peace (surprise!) and that surely it is a good sign for brotherly nearness that Liam calls Noel "our kid", as we do know that neither of them hardly ever does that.

As I said before wouldn't read too much into that mate, it is a statement to a court purely to prejudice the view of how much Liam can potentially earn in the forthcoming years. I think given he is in his forties now and anniversaries are coming up he will have something in the works, Oasis or otherwise, as well as his film and Pretty Green related activities.

Yeah... they've got the new film and BHN reissue hopefully, plus anything else like he did on TFI Friday. TBH i'd like Liam to write a book... doesn't have to be an autobiography, just anything to put the record straight on a LOT of things.#

This- If Liam liquidated his assets, cashed out and set up his retirement now he could comfortably never work again. Contrast that to people such as Chesney Hawkes and Dean Gaffney who are too well known to make the hassle of employing them in a normal 9 to 5 type job worth it for an employer, but who are not rich enough to retire, and he is in a good position. I can't see him being reduced to dodgy nightclub appearances and being the butt of jokes on 8 out of 10 cats or Nevermind the Buzzcocks in the "remember this guy?" type segments to get the low four figure fee.

I wouldnt read too much into it though I can believe him not doing anything besides oasis, he might do a guest appearance here and there like TFI and maybe do the odd song like the death in vegas thing but overall I dont think we will see him going solo or anything (though Im hoping him playing that song at pub suggests that hes maybe looking into it)

I've posted this already but his Twitter feed has been updating over it.

didnt Noel say he wasnt seeing Liam at christmas on the Q&A? Oh sorry, I meant that sarcastic, that it is hardly surprising that mother Gallagher is going to see her sons (presumably seperately or just Liam and Paul together) and that, if there still is discord, would want this to end some day. So that's hardly something for which we need that mysterious "source close to" to tell us.

Guessing they won't be meeting in the "family" pub either as of course according to those close sources liam has of course barred Noel from it... I was hoping for a Gallagher knees up with Peggy playing spoons on "It's Alright Now" and Noel throwing records like ninja frizbees at liam when he sings the "there's no love worth chasing...yesterdaaaay!"

Good to see Liam back in the tabloids today even if it was for the wrong reasons. He looks mint in that photo of him and Nicole in 2001 in the sun newspaper.
