I think it's pretty weak tbh. I much prefer Man Of Misery out of his short rockier songs, he sounded great every time he sang it live too

I haven't listened to it since 2010. This says it all really... no it doesn't. you just haven't been in that mood, I guess. there could be weeks I don't listen to Live Forever.. and songs like Ain't Got Nothing just fill my modd at the moment, and it's got a good riff, Liam's vocals and Noel's back vocals are mint. and the solo part is fucking top. a lot of "urgency" on that one... we can only feel that on Definitely Maybe. albums from M.G were sloppy. Playing on DOYS is very in yer face and that's one thing I like about the whole album. quoting you because I usually agree with what you say.. ! it's all good

Some music is dad rock for me (clapton etc.) and this song was not something I expected by Liam cause he seems always into balladesqe stuff, which is cool but this was like making a sudden scream during a conversation and I enjoyed it. If you read a critsism to noel out of my quote then i am sorry cause I love both songwriting styles.

It's good to have an own opinion as long as you don't hurt others wih it, which you don't.
I personally think The Meaning Of Soul is even more awful

I will never fucking understand how TMOS and AGN were both in the same fucking setlist. Neither should have been included in the first place, never mind both at the same time. Atrocious decision. Has there ever been a band more frustrating than Oasis?

I think it is an absolutely dreadful song all around.
But I fucking love The Meaning Of Soul, I think its a great song, it packs such a bite and I love the production, and Liam sounds much better on it. Plus it has a cereal box in it!

For me it's because the song has no feel.
For a song that's supposed to have a care free fuck it attitude, it excruciatingly labors. It's far too slow when it should be faster. If it were more punkier instead of this mid tempo b.s. then it actually might be a really nice lively song, but like most of the latter day Oasis rockers it lacks an edge about it, see I Can See a Liar and Meaning of Soul as other examples.

I don't hate Aint Got Nothin' I wouldn't say its one of Oasis's worst but I'm not that interested. Haven't listened to it for long time.
I really like The Meaning Of Soul though. I like that acoustic rage, the harmonica and it doesn't go on (a fact I'm sure some are thankful for)to long. Fits nicely on the album to.

I don't think any Dig Out Your Soul tune is that bad and I'm able to find plenty of positive in all of them. The album was a huge step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned.

If they wanted a short tune there though I wouldve put I believe in all there though, thats a awesome little song and certainly a better piece of work from Liam.
wouldve been pretty good live as well if Liam couldve managed it.

Starts out pretty good, but completely and utterly lacks a chorus...then it just exists for another minute or two.

I enjoyed reading all your replies, thanks for posting. I still like the song and will defend it on this forum always - just as I do with PYMWYMI.
Just wait until I start a thread appreciating the Nature of Reality!

I've always enjoyed it to be honest. Decent little album track. Not a highlight or a favourite or anything but I never feel the need to skip it. It sort is what it is.

I don't think it's bad, neither good, it's just there, it lacks soul and bite.
It's the song Liam wrote about that incident in Munich, so it should have been rawer, but it isn't, the album version is inoffensive.

It was....I don't know how to describe it. It felt like someone was taking a frying pan and slamming it in my ear repeatedly, yelling furiously, and at the end it left me very numb, so I don't know how to feel about it.
