As much as i love Beady Eye and think both albums are alot better than generally talked about on here, the public support and the support of the casual Oasis fan was always going to be hard to win over. We could spend hours and hours debating why this is and why they never managed to win over that support of those outside the "hardcores" but the fact is they havent. So we are now at the stage where we have a solid setlist off the back of two good albums and 3 classics chucked in. There is no point saying at this stage Beady Eye need to only play their "own" songs. This isn;t a band trying to stand on their own two feet in an attempt at global domination anymore, its a band trying to enjoy a uk tour off the back of a hell of a year. Who knows what will come after this tour? But while we are here, lets fucking enjoy it

Just got back from a long and rocking evening; a mindblowing gig and meeting new fellow madferits at the afterparty. I recorded 5 songs: Live Forever, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Flick of the Finger, Iz Rite and Gimme Shelter. I'll have them up by noon tomorrow.

Was that intentional or accidental? Either way it is dead cool.

Idiots? Why? Because some of us choose to believe in Beady Eye as a separate identify and don't want them relying on Noel for anything? I am paying this band the highest compliment by saying they don't need Noel and their own songs are good enough to stand up live. Your comment reeks of someone who probably never saw Oasis when they were together. think you've hit the nail on the head there with that last comment, I tend to find a lot of the people who wanna see live forever etc in are the same type people who want some shitty for the money only reunion. People who missed the boat the first time and never saw oasis (to be honest can't have been much of a fan not like it they didn't have enough chances over the years).I fucking love Oasis, Oasis are the band that changed my life they literally moulded me into the person I am and in many many kmore things than just music but Oasis is over get over it! Beady Eye's happeneing now if you don't like it fair enough goodbye but those of us who do will enjoy this new chapter. Maybe they were too young when Oasis were about? I speak for myself when I say that too. A lot of BE fans are between 15-18 and probably just missed out on going to Oasis gigs as I did. Can hardly blame us for wanting to hear a bit of Oasis? And before you label me as someone who just wants an Oasis re-union, wrong. I fucking love Beady Eye, seen them during their debut tour with only Beady Eye songs and wouldn't have a problem with that again. All about opinions, just cause people want well known Oasis songs doesn't make them wrong. Narrow-minded twat

Narrow-minded twat sounds like someones crying cuz they missed the boat on Oasis, you'll never really understand that they're not your band get over it (same way The Jam or The Beatles ain't mine) Beady Eye could be but yur all to bothered about hearing Oasis songs. As for a lot of Beady Eye fans being between 15-18 not the ones I see it gigs but I hope your right. And you saw them on the first tour with only Beady Eye songs (although not strictly true as theyve never played a gig without atleast 1 cover) wohoo what ya want a medal?

This thread was meant to be about the setlist of Beady Eye's first gig from their current UK/Ireland tour which just started 2 days ago. Everyone has their opinions and you don't have to agree with everyone.
I wouldn't want Beady Eye to play many Oasis songs as Liam, Gem and Andy have self penned good tunes AND "BE" was a quite nice surprise to me. I want them to carry on with what they started.
You can't leave your past behind as long as you live, but sometimes you have to do it to move forward and that's what Liam, Gem and Andy did with their second album.
Like I said yesterday, I'm a huge Oasis fan. They're one of my life time bands. I was lucky enough to see them live when they were still together. But I'm a fan of Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds as well.
For many young people who got into the Gallaghers after their split 4 years ago, it would be great to be able to hear some Oasis classics live.
Sorry for this long post of mine, but I just had to say my thoughts after this thread got 6 pages. Please stop name calling and insulting.
and for everyone who'll attend at their gigs coming days/weeks:
Stay safe and have a great time.

Yeah because playing a couple of Noel written songs in their setlist means they have no pride in there work. Jesus wept what a fool... I respect your right to have an opinion. I would appreciate if you would reciprocate and refrain from petty/needless insults. Thank you. It wasn't petty or needless. You said something foolish and I described you as a fool. Feel free to speak to me in the same manner when I say something stupid like that.

No thanks. I was raised well. Have a nice weekend Tom. So was I. Describing someone who is trolling as a fool doesn't really mean a great deal. My opinion was perfectly reasonable. I my opinion, Beady Eye feeling the need to play Noel written songs shows a lack of confidence in their own songs. Perhaps you should log out and cool off for a while Tom. You seem to be getting extremely angry the last few months at people for no reason. Like the time you started randomly insulting Eva. I have you have a good day.

You just said something silly that's all. Liam playing a couple of songs he loves and is forever associated with for a group of fans who have mostly followed from Oasis to Beady Eye is just about the least surprising and smallest issue ever spoke about on these forums. I appreciate you are attempting to appear the 'grown up' one and that's fine. But could you stop being so disingenuous by saying you hope I have a good day. Its a bit creepy tbh.

It's almost like they took Liams vocal take of C&A from the brits in 2007 and used that while Liam mimed They sound identical!

It just reminded me of it, it's well known he was absolutely hammered during that brits performance which is why he sung so badly but imo his actual voice was still quite good then
