I also find it a bit funny that some of the people calling Kasabian average are the same ones posting in the Embrace thread. But that's just me. I wouldn't call Kasabian average. I just think they're a little inaccessible. Whether you like Embrace or not, they're certainly much more radio-friendly, and that'll always assist a band in the long run. Just look at The Kooks.

If you look at Radiohead, they have very few 'radio friendly' songs. They're an amazingly obscure and inaccessible band yet they're one of the biggest bands in the world.
And lyrics don't really have to mean squat for you to be a big act

I don't think we'll see a band like them for a long time, at least in terms of both success and critical acclaim.

I don't get why this guy is comes on an Oasis forum, lies about RM being a single, and then puts this thread in Fact or Fiction where he knows more people will see it. He then claims that Oasis will still be in his heart (as if they died) and tells us to raise a hand to Kasabian. WTF! To make matters worse he double posts just to get his post count up. I have lost all respect for this dude and I hope everyone else has too.

I think Oasis got a massive fan base, but it's already a dead band since 2000 for a lot of people... you know... we are on an Oasis board, hard to admit. Kasabian is fresh and got a lot of arguments to be the next Oasis sucessor. But it will never be like the Oasis 90's era, I'm not stupid. Concerning RM... Why I did this ? Just to create a solid rumour and get the final information about the last Oasis great song. I got it now from gem and andy. That's What I wanted.

Whilst I do admire Kasbaian, they'll never in a million years be as big as Oasis, the first album was amazing, one of me all time favorite albums, but Empire, with the exception of about 3 or 4 tracks was fucking appalling, for me the third album will be the decider, guess I'll be waiting another week or so to find out (fingers crossed)

You don't necessarily have to be a big band these days. I wouldn't consider bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, or the Arctic Monkeys "big" bands, but they've all managed to sell millions of records. Not 16 million like Morning Glory, of course, but I'd be happy with two million sold if I was in a band. West Ryder wont make them a huge, worldwide success, but I can see it outpacing the 800k that Empire managed. It's not a life changing record, it's just pretty damn good. I also find it a bit funny that some of the people calling Kasabian average are the same ones posting in the Embrace thread. But that's just me. Embrace have average albums, but none as shockingly bad as Empire. Their albums A Good Will Out and Out of Nothing are miles superior to any Kasabian. Kasabian are cool whereas Embrace aren't, but does that matter when you see how much better Embrace are?

Oasis not... not agree with that ? The implication that Daft Punk are somehow better than Oasis? Surprisingly, no.

So my registration on this board means Oasis rocks the world now and for the future... No I'm just anxious about the band... So ok... like the Rolling Stones, they've got a massive fans data... but what about the rest... absolutely nothing... DOYS was a big deception.... and it doesn't work....
I'm waiting now for a Noel solo album... not for Oasis.

That whole scene that was spawned in the late nineties is disgustingly boring.

Oasis is still making better music than Kasabian and I think you might be one of the select few who doesn't believe this. Secondly, you act like you know something that we don't. All knowing SilverCruiser knows that Kasabian is better than Oasis. Have you ever heard of an opinion? Your opinion isn't any more important than anyone elses. Quit posting 3 times in a row as well. Thank you.
