My order status now says "Drop Error" whatever that means. I was already upset that they weren't proactive about communicating the delay to customers, especially since I was charged at the time of purchase (way back in June) but now I'm really ticked off. If I don't receive a reply in a couple of days, I'm demanding a refund even if I have to file a claim with the credit card company to do it. I don't know what the hell kind of operation they're running over there but that's the last time I buy anything from Liam's official store.

I just checked the status of my order. It still hasn’t shipped and is “processing,” but it no longer lists today as the release date. This seems like a terrible development. Same boat. I think I'd be less upset if they didn't charge me way back in June. They should've charged for it upon shipping.

OK yes, that's what it was. I couldn't remember exactly but somebody did ask that question why he sang WOG. Thanks, I was beginning to think I imagined it. Come on like... what else would he say? The 'Imagine' bit is probably true but he's hardly gonna say that his management insisted on him performing his new single, is he? Well hey believe what you want. Nobody here can prove Liam didn't do One Love for fully altruistic reasons, just as Liam can't prove Noel didn't do his bit for fully altruistic reasons. I'm just less cynical about it all. And who knows? Maybe we'll see behind the scenes stuff in the documentary that'll shed light on all the dastardly machinations 😈

I don't remember where I read or heard it but I do recall someone saying the organizers asked him to perform it. They wanted some newer stuff from all the performers and that was his only solo material at the time. Liam said organisers asked him to sing WOG and Imagine (and the latter he didn't want to do). OK yes, that's what it was. I couldn't remember exactly but somebody did ask that question why he sang WOG. Thanks, I was beginning to think I imagined it.

They wanted some newer stuff from all the performers and that was his only solo material at the time. "Hi Liam's management. One Love organisers here. So, we'd love Liam to perform." "We'll do everything we can to get him back from a festival in Germany. We think Live Forever would be the perfect fit to close the concert and everyone knows that song." "Well, actually, we'd prefer if he could perform his new single." "Oh erm... not keen, we find it a bit amoral to promote his new material at an event like this." "Ok well in that case, don't bother turning up. Bye." If I find it again I'll post it. Why wouldn't they want Liam Gallagher to perform more than one song? The performances were put on streaming for a bit with proceeds going to charity so it's not not unbelievable they'd ask Liam the solo artist to perform one Oasis song and one Liam song. I didn't see the whole thing, but did none of the ther artists perform their own stuff?

He went above and beyond to get an opportunity to promote his debut solo single and album to an audience of millions too. Call me a cynical bastard if you want - I am! X This! If his only reason for being there was to show support for the victims etc, he wouldn't have sung WOG, a song which hardly anyone knew. I don't know anything about the legal stuff, but I would've expected One Love to own rights to the footage from the broadcast. I wonder if there's something more that Noel's camp takes issue with, like maybe that section of the film is put together in a way that makes Noel look bad somehow. It's just petty to block the performance otherwise in my opinion.

These are professional filmmakers. I'd be surprised if they didn't know going in that they'd have to pay for rights to use the songs in a commercial film.
Sounds to me (if Liam is being truthful) the issue is that rights are being denied altogether. Which would totally suck, hard to document Liam's comeback without showing him singing any Oasis songs.

He probably should've added a few more songs in DC sans Richard, but the set was more or less the same length as his US November shows except without the Warbly Jets opening.
I guess I'd be more upset if the tickets cost more, I don't know. I've paid an average of $40 to see Liam each time (not counting the special $100 gig at the McKittrick and the Lollapalooza day pass). When I compare that to paying $150+ for second level far back seats to see Depeche Mode at the Garden or at Barclays I can't really complain. At that price point I'd expect two hours.

Some positive words from the Jack Jones (Trampolene) about Liam in this piece: akamensmag.wordpress.com/2018/05/21/interview-trampolene-on-surviving-pete-dohertys-birthday-touring-with-liam-gallagher-and-re-opening-the-bataclan/He adds: “There’s no politics involved with Peter [Doherty] and that’s what’s so refreshing about him. Saying that, there’s no politics involved with Liam [Gallagher] – two completely unique people who don’t let any politics or bullshit get in the way. Everything is done from their own vision of themselves.” Liam Gallagher is a man who has personally helped Trampolene along the way, handing the band an opening support slot for on his latest arena tour and asking Trampolene back to support at his huge, sold-out Finsbury Park show this summer. Jack doesn’t have a bad word to say about the former Oasis man: “I had one really nice night with him, he keeps himself to himself, y’know. I don’t even know how much time he even spends with his own band. He’s always there on time, very professional, I’d describe him as like an older brother. He’s got a lot of wisdom to share.” Peter and Liam are two of the most famous figures in British rock ‘n’ roll history and the Welshman explains why he thinks they’re so loved: “Those two, they embody rock ‘n’ roll, maybe Peter the darker side and Liam’s the fucking poster boy for having a few drinks which is like the medium of happiness which everyone can connect with.” “The thing about them is their both front-men, the thing for me it’s really interesting to see everyone in the audience, people talk about writers, I’m a writer myself and I have a lot of appreciation for people who embody everything. They both embody the song, the ambition, the whole ethos of everything comes through them so the experience of the audience all comes through them so that person needs to live and breathe the truth because people are able to tell.”

I think that this wasn't shown in Cannes at all. Can't find anything about it. edit: I guess it didn't make the cut? I was under the impression it's not actually screening at Cannes because it's not a completed film. Didn't the blurb say it would include Finsbury? I think when they said it's "showing" at Cannes they meant they're shopping it around to potential distributors for release probably later this year or next year. There's probably a short reel and promo packet or something.

“Co-headlining tour” or not there is no excusing a 50 minute LG set. He said goodnight at 9:29pm, and he calls Noel the beige old timer? Come on now. I imagine 50 minutes of Liam expends about as much energy as 2 hours of Noel.
I can't say for sure I wasn't checking my watch during the gig but I thought RA and LG played about the same length of time except Richard's set was more leisurely as he talked a lot more during his set while Liam sped through his with the force of a freight train.
Either way I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout given the cold and wet conditions and I got the sense there were lots of happy folks in the audience.

I wasn't counting minutes and had a great time! Crowd around me was in good spirits despite the rain, and both Liam and Richard sounded fantastic. 8th times seeing Liam since he went solo (includind Manchester last December) and thought this was the best he's sounded. A rested voice really makes a big difference!

He's feeding on the adrenaline. The crowd's energy is carrying him through this.

Awww poor Liam. He shouldn't be straining this hard this when he's sick, it'll just make the recovery time longer. But probably tired of people saying he's faking when he cancels gigs. I hope he doesn't collapse.

The dust seemed to have settled as of late then Sara went and made an over the top comment while knowing all too well how Liam would react if he was to find out about it. I see people telling Liam to let it go, but maybe Noel and Sara should stop having Liam's name in their mouths so often. But Sara's comment was in response to a Liam interview dissing Noel and Anais?? It's not like it came out of the blue.... She took offense to Liam referring to Anais as Noel's "fucking kid". But Liam uses fuck and fucking the way people use air to breathe. Noel also referred to their son as my "fucking kid" recently. It's how them Gallagher brothers talk. To find offense in that is just looking for something to harangue about. You don't see Anais' actual mother commenting about it.

Liam needs to let it go, it's really unhealthy. Oasis split up ten years ago. My take is that in Liam's mind Oasis is synonymous with Noel. So any time he's griping about Oasis breaking up, he's really bemoaning the loss of his big brother. He's not ever getting over that.

I'm actually surprised he held it in for that long. Everyone including Sara had to know her IG comment would get a reaction from Liam. She lambasts Liam's social media behavior but I can't feel sorry for either side when they both play the game. Let them go at it then. But if Liam and Sara's relationship is/was that toxic, I really feel for Noel. Sara used to (or is she still working?) work in PR. She isn't stupid. She knows anything she says about Liam on a public fanpage will spread like the fucking plague. Unfortunately Liam's response will drive a lot of hate Sara's way and it's going to feed the narrative that Liam is responsible for all the online hate that Noel's family gets. Even though Sara actively participates.

I don't like this setlist. I don't know why he don't change one or two songs every night. Always the same setlist. Fuc* Not sure why that's necessary when Liam's been touring less than a year. Theoretically he is playing to a different audience every night. Give everyone a chance to hear the same set of songs live at least once. He's already said he's changing it up come summer.

Sara and everybody else on both sides should take a cue from Peggy and just stay out of it. If their mother can leave it alone, the rest of the family can also. Liam says shit about Noel. Noel says shit about Liam. It's between the brothers. Debbie stays out of it. Meg, Patsy, and Nicole stays out of it. Lennon stays out of it. Until Anais got involved, Gene had stayed out of it. Unfortunately Sara seems to be waiting and ready to pounce on it though.

Liam or Noel using the word "fucking" is just a figure of speech though, no? You'd think Sara would know that. Noel was very recently quoted saying about his own kid "He’s like a posh, middle-class fucking kid from fucking England." It's just how they both talk.

thisisnoiseblog.wordpress.com/2018/02/13/an-acoustic-evening-with-liam-gallagher/An acoustic evening with Liam Gallagher by Sam Dawes Liam Gallagher has had a hell of a 2017 and 2018 looks much the same as he prepares to headline festivals touring his hit solo album that was released last year. Last night however, Radio X and Global hosted a special, intimate, one-off show with Liam on the roof of their Leicester Square headquarters and one of our writers, Sam Dawes, was lucky enough to get tickets to the show. First a thank you, Radio X put on something brilliant, this will be a memory that i’ll hold dear, I grew up to the sounds of Oasis and this was truly amazing. Walking up to the show, it almost didn’t feel like it was real, with such a name like Liam Gallagher, if you were to go see him anywhere else, it would be a given that it would be sold out, you would expect to see crowds of fans piling in to whatever venue he was at. Last night however, was very different, there were no long queues to get in, there was a couple of brave fans hoping to get a spare ticket in, I have also since read there were a few fans listening from outside the building, it felt almost cruel to only have one spare ticket, but it is what it is. Once we were in and up, we walked through the door to the rooftop venue, and it blew me away just how intimate this show was going to be, it was a reasonably sized stage, an assortment of instruments for his band mates, but about two meters away from the edge of the stage was the barrier of the balcony. Cameras were set up all over the roof terrace as well capturing every angle the legendary singer would possibly stand in, Radio X was making sure they were capturing it all, which they have already teased to be releasing soon. After collecting drinks and trying to keep covered up from the cold as much as possible, Johnny Vaughan soon took to the stage, to announce Mr Gallagher. During Mr Vaughan’s opening speech, he mentioned ‘Seeing a big name in a small venue is the holy grail, you would trade in any stadium show to see Liam in a small venue is right’, I think everyone would agree that this was pretty spot on. With the sheer amount of video cameras around set up by Radio X, there was a strict no photography or filming put in place by Liam, something I am quite thankful for actually, phones in gigs now just are such a disconnection from the music, people record their favourite songs live, never to watch them again and it’s just something that’s in the way, some people end up watching more of the show through their phone while recording it then actually watching and enjoying, it’s a shame but that is how things are now. Liam soon came out and kicked things off with ‘Wall of Glass’ this was just about a stripped back set, acoustic guitars, piano, synths and a snare drum and pad were set up, with his band members all in synch to make it an acoustic set, but it was more than just Liam and a guitar, it was still a proper show. The venue although small, was almost it’s own downfall, it was on the verge of awkward, there were around 50 people along this roof terrace, half were competition winners who won tickets through Radio X, the other half was a mix of Global staff and people that come with Liam, so it felt that it was a struggle to get a real atmosphere on the go, it was on the cusp of awkward, but not quite, what I think held that together was Liam, if it wasn’t him on stage, it may have slipped to awkward, especially in the position that I was in, along the terrace railing, directly in front of the stage. Mr Gallagher soon rattled on through his set, starting with a few songs from his solo album such as ‘Greedy Soul’, ‘Bold’ and ‘Paper Crown’ and then mixed in some Oasis classics in like ‘Some Might Say’, ‘Rockin Chair’, of course ‘Wonderwall’ and finishing off the set with ‘Live Forever’. All in all he was on stage for 9 songs, and they went by so quickly, there was a few calls for him to stay on longer, but once the maracas were down, that is where they stayed, I was personally hoping for a little Q&A or even for him to chat more as we all know he has such a big personality, but alas, I can’t complain too much, to attend such a gig was special, a word I can’t stop saying to describe last night.
