Noel’s “you can’t be serious” reaction to the “Scarborough is like Monaco” thing was hilarious. When he said “when someone isn’t any good and you want to get rid of them, you blame it on the budget”, I was reminded of Tim Smith’s interview where he said that’s why Noel let him go. Is there a link to that interview anywhere? This is the first I’ve heard of it!

Pics on Noel’s twitter show Gem playing the harmonica. Maybe If Love Is The Law will be played at some point. It’s being soundchecked!

It's a real shame Noel is doing ZERO songs from Chasing Yesterday. He's gotta play songs like Riverman and The Dying of The Light. Gem playing the Riverman solo ? WTSRTS would be great too.

I've watched a few of the pro-recorded gigs on Youtube. I found Paris and Dusseldorf were not Noel at his best, but considering he was sick, he gets a pass. I also thought Cleveland was rather boring, but nothing horrible. The London gig for Absolute Radio and the Dome gig were both fantastic IMO. I think the T in the Park gig is one of the best HFB gigs I've seen on YouTube. Absolutely mega. Is the dome gig on YouTube? I haven't been able to find it.

Saw him in Royal Oak. Noel seemed cranky and disinterested. Like he didn't really want to be there. Hardly any interaction with the fans during the gig. I was second row dead center. The girl behind me was obviously wasted and was screaming right in my ear (louder than the music quite often) so that damn near ruined it for me. Noel had some issues with his pedals/amps during Dream On. Right before Digsy's he switched his pedals, didn't like what he heard, turned to Tim and said "Fuck it" and they started playing, which I found amusing. Basically the drunk girl behind us was annoying as all hell but I enjoyed myself very much.

I don't understand why Russell's vocals get so much hate on this tour but didn't on the last one. I think he's quite good.

What times are fans arriving to the venues to see Noel for autographs/sound checks and such? I'll probably head down early now that I don't have to work when the Royal Oak gig comes around.

Still the electric version of DLBIA then I take it? I was hoping to catch the acoustic version in person.

The FB post says that there will be another round of videos next week so I don't think these videos are any indication of future singles.

A capo essentially shifts the key of the song up X amount of semitones. So a capo on the second fret means that every chord shape is 2 semitones higher than its name states (a C chord becomes an D). So if a guitar with a capo at 2 plays a C chord and a guitar with no capo plays a D chord, then they are both playing the same chord (different inversions, but both are playing D chords).

I don't care for The Girl With X-Ray Eyes... I think it stops the album dead. Skip almost every time.

Still waiting for my physical copy (deluxe cd w/ lyric sheet) in the US. Still haven't received a notice of shipment yet either which is concerning. Glad I saved my order confirmation.
