Sorry if you've already answered this but REALLY? Ok so I like BTL, FLW and SA but seriously, none of them come close. What I have noticed now, since I have heard all 3 of these tracks, whenever I listen to ANY Beady Eye tracks since, they sound so much more dated than I ever realised Yes really. You act like something incredibly different has happened this go around. Same it was the last two times. One really good song. One ok song. One below average song. People were absolutely buzzing on this forum when Four Letter Word dropped. Same for Flick of The Finger. We shouldn't trivialize these events because they happened 5-6 years ago. DGSS sounds dated. A lot of BE does not. The most universal liked solo Liam song is Wall of Glass. Not For What's It's Worth I've noticed. I've never liked or understood the like for FOTF, it's so boring to me. However, I am digressing here, I seriously do think it's better than anything off them two albums AND it's now also showing both of them up as quite dated in my eyes. That's just me though

This song is better than ANYTHING on Dig Out Your Soul easily and majority of Don't Believe The Truth. Liam's vocal is better than the whole of DOYS on it's own, let alone the music Are you high? No, I just know what I like. As far as I'm concerned, nothing on Dig Out Your Soul comes close

I've listened to it a tonne today and I genuinely feel that had it been on any of the post 2000 Oasis albums we would be talking about a highlight. The vocals sound more new Liam rather than old Liam especially the line at the end of each chorus but they are still silky smooth and powerful I did say this morning that he is going to struggle with this live but then I thought he would with WOG too and apart from a dodgy gig here and there I think the band have let him down more than him missing notes. All in all I am absolutely buzzing and considering a majority of people really like Greedy Soul, Bold etc from the live versions I really think we are onto a winner here. I can see why people don't want to form quick opinions but if you compare the first three tracks we heard from each of the BE albums these songs completely blow them out of the water which is 10x what we all expected earlier this year. Well done LG you've stuck two fingers up in the best way possible. Is that true though? DGSS has Bring The Light, Four Letter Word and The Roller. BE had Flick of The Finger, The Second Bite of The Apple and Start Anew. Sorry if you've already answered this but REALLY? Ok so I like BTL, FLW and SA but seriously, none of them come close. For What It's Worth is the best one so far Chinatown Wall Of Glass
In that order but all 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> miles better than ANYTHING Beady Eye ever did!

I used to love She's Electric but now, I just think it's ok. I mean, don't get me wrong it's a sing-along but it feels a little empty

Shakermaker WISHES it was in the same league as Hey Now! Neither are the worst on their respective albums but Hey Now smashes this outta the water

Another case where the b-side was better than the a-side, what else is new? Carry Us All could have made the album if it wasn't for Sunday Morning Call I think

It is kinda weird yeah. Not sure what's not to like. I mean Supersonic, Slide Away, Rock n Roll Star, Live Forever and Cigarettes and Alcohol all on one album. 5 classic songs in recent British music history, 5 songs that are still regularly played on the radio today and will still be in 20 years time. Then you've got Bring It On Down and Columbia which are absolute anthems in their own right. Shakermaker has it's haters sure, but no one can deny it's not a great listen and that it doesn't have more positives than negatives. Then as far as album fillers go... Up In The Sky, Digsys Dinner and Married With Children? Fuckin hell not bad! But what obviously makes the album so lauded is that it has FIVE bonafide classic songs in anyone's book on it. I guess, it's as I said, it's the production that I don't like. It's as I said before, everything sounds too raw and almost like demos most of the time to me. Cigarettes & Alcohol is awful for a start production wise

Go Let It Out would sound great with his current voice and it's not really too hard to sing. The same goes for Columbia. I would also love to hear Gas Panic but considering probably only half of his audience will have heard it it's very unlikely. This is roughly my perfect setlist: 1. Rock n Roll Star 2. Morning Glory 3. Go Let It Out 4. Wall of Glass 5. D'you Know What I Mean? 6. Bold 7. Be Here Now 8. Greedy Soul 9. Gas Panic 10. Slide Away 11. Paper Crown 12. Universal Gleam 13. Columbia 14. I Get By 15. Live Forever My set: 1. Morning Glory 2. Bring It On Down 3. Wall Of Glass 4. Bold 5. Paper Crown 6. Greedy Soul 7. Stand By Me 8. Rockin Chair 9. Lyla 10. Chinatown 11. You Better Run, You Better Hide 12. I Get By 13. The Boy With The Blues 14. Universal Gleam 15. The Morning Son

Most definitely...I really like Heathen Chemistry and I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few unreleased tracks from that era. Not just The Roller demo (which I get the feeling would be mssiviely different to the Beady Eye version), but other Noel/Gem/Andy sung stuff and maybe even Liam sung also.
Disc 1: Heathen Chemistry Remastered
Disc 2: (all remastered) Just Gettin Older Idlers Dream Thank You For The Good Times Shout It Out Loud My Generation Heart Of A Star The Roller (demo) Merry Christmas Everybody
Disc 3: The Hindu Times (demo) Songbird (demo) Little By Little (demo) Songbird (demo) Born On A Different Cloud (demo) 3-6 unheard demo's

I just wanted to point out...it's not that I think it's a bad album, it's just that I can't play through it totally anymore. I skip Shakermaker, Columbia, Cigarettes & Alcohol as well as losing interest in Up In The Sky and Rock N Roll Star at times. Whereas almost every other Oasis album I enjoy listening to it fully (bar DBTT and DOYS)

Replace: Rock N Roll Star for Supersonic or Bring It On Down Morning Glory for Lyla or Headshrinker Slide Away for The Hindu Times or The Boy With The Blues D'Yer Know What I Mean? for I Hope, I Think, I Know or Gas Panic! Liam is sounding the worst at the beginning of gigs for me. Rock N Roll Star he shouts the lyrics, Morning Glory he just doesn't sound as good with it and Slide Away just doesn't work either. The band themselves sound bloody awful playing all 3. The above needs to be changed dont you dare to touch D you know what I mean. I just feel D'Yer Know What I Mean doesn't really work live...it didn't in 97 and it isn't now...unless it's just me thinking that, which it obviously is

How many oasis songs do you think he'll play on tour with his new album? I think it'll be 6..what he's doing now + 2/3 more depending on what he uses as the closer...be it a cover/Oasis song or something like Universal Gleam

Is it?
I only ask because I am very much a die-hard Oasis/Liam/Beady Eye/Noel fan but to me Definitely Maybe sounds boring, sounds like an obvious starting point and an album that needs producing again. In my mind three songs shouldn't be on the album, half of it sounds like it needs to be rerecorded and, on the whole, it sounds almost boring to me.
I've always preferred several albums to it and I've always felt like I am on my own as whenever people comment on the best Oasis albums, they always say it's either Definitely Maybe or Morning Glory. Morning Glory to me sounds like an almost different band now

For me, the problem with Slide Away isn't if Liam nails it or not..it's more, when it gets to the end of the song...the whole chanting part doesn't work without someone singing along with Liam

The thing I don't get is, I thought Liam would be the one out of him and Noel who'd change the set up a while every so often. Surely a festival crowd wouldn't be adverse to hearing a couple out of say: Supersonic, Cigarettes & Alcohol (as much as I'd hate that), Some Might Say, Stand By Me, Go Let It Out, The Hindu Times, Lyla or Shock Of The Lightning?
Come on Liam, change one or two for when you play Reading, please
