I once created a playlist changing Be Here Now around. Can't remember exactly now but it was something like:
1. D'Yer Know What I Mean? 2. My Big Mouth 3. Stay Young 4. I Hope, I Think, I Know 5. The Fame 6. The Girl In A Dirty Shirt 7. Stand By Me 8. Don't Go Away 9. Be Here Now 10. It's Getting Better (Man!!) 11. All Around The World (Reprise mixed in for a 10/11 minute epic finish)
Was ok but...no, never mess with the original

Having not watched it yet, I just want to put out there:
What about the music video to Acquesce from 1997? That was an overdubbed live performance. What about the videos to Bring The Light, Four Letter Word and The Beat Goes On (not best comparisons but still)..they were all overdubbed live performance's wasn't they?
Why is this video being singled out? Is it because it says "live" in the title?

4/5 can't fault the song, lyrics are amazing in this and could even be argued to be some of the best (if not THE best) on the entire album

As long as he doesn't do bloody I Am The Warlus as a cover (AGAIN!!) I don't care what he does but seriously, he doesn't need to do one (then again, Oasis didn't either but it didn't stop them) Counterpoint: You're wrong. Proof: Yeah in 1995 when it was still worth doing. From 2000 onwards there were no point and even less of a point if he does it on a solo tour. I'd cringe if that were the case, shake my head in disbelief. I also think there has not been a good live version from Oasis of I Am The Warlus since 95/96..it's truely a boring song when they did it live later on and always a shame when they could have done one of their own songs and it would be the same feeling if Liam did it on his solo tour when he has an entire Oasis and even Beady Eye back catalogue to go back to

I would absolutely love Liam to include Flick of the finger in his setlist as soon as the proper tour starts! Probably still my favourite post-Oasis song from any Gallagher! What is it with the flick of the finger .. it's a throw away bside at best .. I mean it's garbage ... Maybe I'm wrong cause seems like alot of people like it for what reason I'm not sure.. The Roller was the best song by Beady Eye.. honestly it's the only one I listened to more than a couple times.. I was 100% with you until you mentioned The Roller. Now, here's a contriversal opinion, it's massively overrated by the fanbase I feel. Please, I don't want him to bring that one back either

I never ever skip it when it's played at the end of a listen to Be Here Now, I love it. One of their best instrumentals! EASILY

As much as I love Be Here Now, it does need remixing. Just not by Noel. Noel's admitted now that he shouldn't've been involved with the mixing process, and that it should have just been left to Owen Morris to take care of on his own (whilst sober!), or to someone from the outside who'd not been living with the songs for six months. So why should he be the one doing the re-mixing? He fucked it up the first time round, and his current opinion of the record is massively out of step with that of many Oasis fans. I mean, the very things he's spent the last 17 years disparaging it for - its length, and his lead guitar playing on it - are what many of the album's most vociferous champions appreciate the most about it! If the album is ever to be made right, it needs someone from the outside who understands its appeal to some people, to come in and take away the unnecessary layers of rhythm guitar that have muddied the mixes, pushing out the bass and made piercing the higher frequencies, but NOT touch any of the overdubbed lead guitar or string sections, etc. that make the songs so distinctive, and absolutely on NO ACCOUNT reduce its runtime. We need our Giles Martin, basically. Someone who's clued into how records should sound in 2017, but who will also hold the original work in great reverence when he's going through the master tapes, deciding what stays and what goes. BIB - I agree with that wholeheartedly! NEVER touch them! The guitars are perfect on the whole album

Probably the best setlist Oasis ever played. Part of the reason the Heathen tour was the best tour Oasis did - post peak

I just got done making a little music video for FWIW. I know we dont know who the song is pointed at and he said a few people but i think its more Noel then anyone. So i made a music video as if the song as for Noel. I will prob do some more tweaking to it over time but here is my first draft. I really hope you enjoy it and no one gets upset for me putting a video up since last time when i did the comparison videos some people got upset. Let me know what you think That...I echo what everyone else has said...it's beautiful!

this with Liam on vox would have been massive I doubt that very much, it would still have had the dull Noel feeling about it

That's apples to oranges. You compared the weaker HC tracks to the better DBTT tracks. That's not fair. HC had the better singles. Is that true though... The Hindu Times • Lyla Stop Crying Your Heart Out • The Importance of Being Idle Little By Little/She Is Love • Let There Be Love Songbird • [nothing] I guess you can give HC the nod because they released an extra single? I'm not seeing some kind of definitively better set of singles there. Also, there is no excuse for the double a-side single... especially with it involving She Is Love. Thoughts? Heathen had the better singles. As much as I find Little By Little a little dull, it's better than Let There Be Love for a definite. Then again, I prefer SCYH to TIOBI

Not a bad track, I really enjoy it and I don't care about the lyrics, they work for a tune like this. I wouldn't change a thing and deserves it's place on the album. 3/5 or 7/10

Just my two pence worth:
Great vocal performance but I agree with what everyone else has been saying. The band sound dull, boring, not into it and uninterested. Liam needs a little personality behind him with the guitarist but it just seems very, for want of a better word, MEH. Apart from Liam, Liam just sounds amazing

It baffles me that people prefer something as substandard as Shakermaker over Hey Now!

Don't rate this that highly to be honest. I find it half finished (why only 1 real verse and a chorus) and the main beat is very reminiscent of Little James (try playing them both at the same time and you'll see what i mean). Liam has written better by a mile and sung better on his songs by a mile. Always a skip for me

3/5 or 6/10
Bores me quite a bit, chorus tries to be Don't Look Back In Anger but fails and misses the target massively with it. Works in the basis of the album but on playlists or even Time Flies, feels poor and out of place

I've never liked or understood the like for FOTF, it's so boring to me. However, I am digressing here, I seriously do think it's better than anything off them two albums AND it's now also showing both of them up as quite dated in my eyes. That's just me though Really? For What It's Worth could easily be dropped into a post-Beatles Lennon record and fit nicely. I guess dated means different things to different people. (this is not saying FWIW is a bad song, I actually like it. don't get the dated comment though.)As in how it's produced or something. I'm not technical but it's just how it sounds to my ears

The Turning, The Shock of The Lightning and Falling Down are easily better than For What It's Worth. You see, all those three DOYS songs have that unique Oasis characteristic. There's real punch and vibe going on in them, with added melancholy in Falling Down. They undoubtedly wear their influences on their sleeves, but it contains the swagger of Oasis that makes it authentic. For What It's Worth doesn't hold a candle to these. In comparison, its maudlin, syrupy and extremely derivative. Not a great song by any stretch of the imagination. Not for me, Falling Down feels like it's a typical Noel song, alright on the odd listen but so boring and dour. The Turning is ok but that's all it is. People say the singles off HC are often elavated because of the album it's on, I think that about The Turning. It's such an average tune by Oasis standards but everyone always states it's an Oasis classic and I just don't understand the love for it. Shock Of The Lightning is ok but it's very Oasis by numbers, much like Lyla and The Hindu Times, both of which are better.
