Please excuse me if this is old news, but 'My Big Mouth' live from Knebworth 10th August JUST got available as a 1-track digital EP on Tidal (streaming service). Could be available on Spotify as well for all I know. Guess this is released to mark the anniversary! Hope more material/footage will be released in the next hours. Tune in! Is this a video or just audio?

I started working on a website like this about five years ago.
I randomly chose LIVE FOREVER as the first song to cover, combing through magazines and websites for every bit of information I could get.
I remember I had several sections for it - songwriting / lyrics / recording session / official releases / other released versions / promo clips / covers by other artists / reviews & analysis.
It took me about two weeks just to do the research and html for this one song and I gave up. I wish I still had all the info backed up but I deleted it eventually (it never went live online). These days with websites where people can contribute it would be much easier but it's still going to be alot of work for you all. Good luck!

Also interesting to see no HEROES or STREET FIGHTING MAN despite there being extra room on CD 2. The b-side HELTER SKELTER was also recorded during the BE HERE NOW sessions. It's a money issue i think. Bowie's camp and Rolling Stones were probably asking for too much money. That's my guess too. They're already paying for HELP and the budget probably wouldn't stretch to licencing two or three more covers.

It's definitely that version. I thought the same, but somewhere I saw the tracklist with the running time and it says that this version is longer than 6 minutes. The one by the pool is not close that... Maybe they recorded several versions "by the pool" and this is a version that wasn't used - hence it being listed as an "outtake".

So apart from the Mustique demo there is another demo of DON'T GO AWAY here. Given that Noel described it as an "old" song even in 1997 I wonder when that other demo comes from.

That version of Stand By Me was taped at Bonehead's home at the time (mid 1997), in Chesire... It deserved an official release anyway. Too right , great version of the song this by the boys. Really hoping its this version on the CD but I agree it's not an outtake and this was on the right here right now doc. Such a shame a decent version of the Right Here Right Now doc isn't being included as a bonus DVD. All the versions online are pretty ropey quality. Apparently they were filmed for that doco performing or miming to every song on the Be Here Now album. Wonder if the original raw footage survives?

Just don't think there's much in the vault,....nothing of real interest, anyway..........few reasons, seems Líam was having fun while Noël wrote and demoed the songs, then Líam came in and laid down the studio tracks; and Oasis weren't great musicians, not much improvisation, alternate takes... Judging by the previous two releases, these team assembling these reissues don't have access to the original studio session tapes anyway, just the final master tape and any tapes or CDRs that band members or studio personnel might have kept (most of which are likely to be rough mixes rather than alternate takes or session jams).

The generic "thoughts" thread mimmihopps - that's where we're posting news now huh!? ;-P Noel Gallagher is potentially changing his setlist. This is frankly the most huge and momentous news we've had since he reacted to Liam's first potato tweet - this definitely deserves a thread of its own in the news section! ;-) Thanks for posting this mossy - I never check that other "thoughts" thread and I'd never have found it otherwise.

Most crimes he could legally be charged with under international law were written after the Iraq invasion and deliberately worded so as not to be retrospective. Some don't even kick in until next year.
That's a bit of a simplistic interpretation of where things stand now but essentially that's the situation.
Whether he could be charged under UK law for deliberately misleading parliament I'm not sure. Even it were legally possible to lay such charges, I think Blair could claim ignorance and would have enough wiggle room to escape the noose.

People who state that the collection they've just posted/shared online is "the complete discography" of a certain band.
Desperate to find that elusive b-side/remix/rarity you've been chasing, you go hunting through their upload only to find all they've posted is the band's actual albums and nothing else.

knowing Noely G management we will get stop the clocks styled best of compilation album of the first two albums. thats it. I agree - I don't think we'll get much out this project in terms of rare audio.

I'm down to my last 160GB ipod classic too and have no idea what to do when it dies. I travel alot for work and it's been one of the most useful and enjoyable gadgets I own. If I get something to replace it I really need something that will hold at least 100GB (I'll settle for multiple slot-in memory cards I guess). I'd want something that will dock with my surround sound system at home. I'll want to easily create playlists by genres and display album art. Will Sansa do all that? So is another Classic not an option because it has to be new? What exactly is wrong with the one you have? Unused new ones cost a fortune. You're taking a risk with a second-hand used one. After a few years with alot of use they just slowly die and eventually pack up. I'm not sure if there are some decent ipod classic knockoffs out there anywhere?

By the way, Noel Gallagher plays bass and guitar on the following AA instrumental tracks on their 2013 album The Cartel Volume 1.
Loaded Silence The Plaza Heist Loaded Silence Banksters Dead Man's Shadow
Add Shoot A Hole Into The Sun and the AA remix of What A Life to that and you have a nice little Noel/AA EP.
