To be honest, not sure their music in 1995 fit the tone and style of the film. Oasis was too upbeat for a downer of a film. Not sure what song they would or could have contributed.

Looks alright but I hope it isn't merely just a modern update of the first film. I hope there's more of a stylistic shift to take into account the ageing and maturity of the characters. To not base it entirely on the Porno novel is encouraging though, as it was nowhere near as good as Trainspotting. Hopefully the studio doesn't 'sanitise' the dialect too much this time. It looks good from the trailer. I can't see them doing a faithful adaptation of PORNO - the characters are too old for a start and I wonder what classification rating it would get. I still think it's a great book and a worthy sequel (that very last scene had me howling in laughter). To be honest, I think SKAGBOYS is the best of the three "Trainspotting" novels so it would be interesting to see if the rumors of a mini-series are true. I'm currently reading all of Irvine Welsh's books is order (Oasis get quite a few mentions) and I'm surprised how many characters from TRAINSPOTTING appear in other novels and short stories. I haven't read THE BLADE ARTIST yet so I'm looking forward to catching up with Begbie one last time.

I've managed to make a fairly decent version (I think) of the mustique DYKWIM demo with Liam's vocals. I tried uploading it to soundcloud a couple of times to let people hear but it kept getting removed... I won't do you the discourtesy of uploading it because I used your work, but if you take the original Noel demo and the "new" Liam demo you made and mix them together you get a nice duet mix like the LORD DON'T SLOW ME DOWN "Cain and Abel" mix.

Ok, so I think this worked? I've basically removed Noel's vocal as best as I could without losing quality of the backing so there is a slight hint of double tracking in places but I'm happy with the result. I also extracted the solo from the original the best I could and dropped it in because I miss it on the demo because it's so low in the mix. clyp.it/def2ixgkHope people like it! Thank you so much for that! It has has a nice trippy feeling that reminds me of the CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA Lynch Mob remixes. can you enable downloads for it? love it! JDownloader will grab you a copy too.

Can someone please write Noel's last quote which ends the movie? It is epic, and I need it in written form. It says "Copyright 2016 Mint Pictures In Association With On The Corner Films"

Why aren't people more excited over Liam's vocals on Sad Song. Because I haven't seen the film or heard that bit yet. By the way, is Owen Morris in the film? Does he still awkwardly use the f-word in nearly every sentence he utters in a desperate attempt to sound cool or has he grown out of that?

...Personally I might consider putting To Be Someone with the BHN stuff as it was recorded in 1997/1998 and played on the BHN tour. But yeah, you're right, it was released closer to the SOTSOG era. It's all down to personal preference I guess! Sorting stuff by release dates makes no sense to me. For example, if release dates rather than recording dates are the way a collection is being sorted, then "If We Shadows" belongs on DIG OUT OUT YOUR SOUL - it was officially released closer to that Oasis album than to BE HERE NOW.

This is the email I received from Ignition for my inquiry a couple of days ago if anyone wants to read: We have spoken with the management company and they have confirmed that the track listing is correct and is not faulty - this is how it’s intended to be. The track should be 3.35. Therefore, we can assure you that you have received the correct audio. It is an instrumental track called ‘Trip Inside’.Well if the CD is indeed correct then the booklet that came with my CD is incorrect as (for some unexplained reason) it lists that track as being 4:48 when it's only 3:35. With that in mind, perhaps we should enquire as to where we all send the booklets for an expensive (for the record company) reprint?

I actually quite like it but I think shes got the tone of the song wrong though, the way shes singing it vs what the lyrics are saying doesnt quite match for me for some reason. dont go away is the jewel of BHN though imo, forgotten tune. I agree - Liam's vocal takes the song through tenderness and sadness and bitterness and frustration. This cover version captures the sadness but doesn't go anywhere else.

Sorry - lovely song but this cover doesn't do much for me. Not much emotion or character to the voice - is she twelve years old or something? Sounds like it.

So it sounds as thin as the version on youtube? Strange, the free download they did of the "Going Nowhere" demo sounded fuller. Both version in the youtube video seem very thin and missing something. I haven't heard the original vinyl but it's definitely a ripping issue. The rip I heard had GOING NOWHERE from the flip-side and (having just listened to it) it sounds just as tinny so I think you're right - it's just a poor rip from the vinyl. It's the only version I've spotted online.

I downloaded the Stand By Me vinyl demo. Is it supposed to sound that low and tinny? That how it sounds on the vinyl apparently - alot of echo on it. Anybody have a recording date?

...It just annoys me that a video filmed and uploaded in 2016 by a official channel with half a million subscribers still has a quality that was good enough ten years ago. It is ridiculous - especially as it was probably shot and edited in HD to begin with.

I'm surprised Noel never recorded Setting Sun as an acoustic Oasis b-side for the Be Here Now era. A good idea. Maybe he did. But if it wasn't ever released or "mastered" it would probably only be on the actual studio session tapes. I still don't think the Chasing The Sun project has access to any of those multitrack session tapes. I think they only have access to the final multitrack album/single masters and any cassette tapes and CDRs that were made at the time for the band (if they can lay their hands on them). Have there been any recordings released from the original multitrack session tapes? Alternate takes? Rehearsals? Jams? Outtakes? No - nothing.

I want to know the REAL NAME of the track! I’ve already renamed it The Cage (Prequel) on my iTunes. I've gone with "Copyright Violation Replacement Song". Catchy eh?

I don't care at all - we got an extra track out of it! Nothing special but nice to add to the collection.

Uh, for some reason I feel like I already know "If we shadows". Couldn't say why is that. The excerpt I heard reminded me a bit of WHO PUT THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD ON MY SHOULDERS but I couldn't say exactly why. Only listed to it once or twice so far.

It's now almost 4pm in Japan. It must have leaked by now?! Somebody ring somebody in Japan and ask them what's going on. Just pick a Japanese phone number at random out of their phone book if you don't know anybody.

...Not sure what that 45 second clip is of, or if it's even Oasis. Sounds like them - has that Teotihuacan feel to it.
