This is so boring…. Liam’s voice has been at its best comparable to the 1999/01 period of Oasis. No idea what the few complaints are about. I respect Liam so much as he did have a legitimate mental breakdown at the end of Beady Eye. He’s resurrected not only his career, but his personality and Oasis all at the same time. He deserves no hate whatsoever, the man has worked relentlessly over the last decade. What examples are there of him singing as well live as 1999-2000?

I'll also add that at the time of Linkin Park's last release in his lifetime, 'One More Light', it was critically panned and he was vitriolic towards the fans. Really? Didn't expect that one! Any interviews I can read about it?

Linkin Park have stolen all the attention from Oasis in the last few weeks. Their promotional tactics seem stronger and more constant. Oasis have invaded the world for a week like a nuclear bomb but all the hype seems to have been absorbed quite quickly. At least for now. 'The World'. I think you either mean Your World or The USA.

Linkin Park not just a US phenomenon though. In fact, they were arguably playing to far larger audiences in the waning years of their career in the rest of the works than in America. 32,000 in Peru and Chile, 35,000 in Sweden, 40,000 in Italy, 41,000 in Poland, 81,000 in Germany 90,000 in Portugal, 100,000 in Austria, nearly 300,000 across a handful of dates in China, etc. Even Oasis wasn’t putting up those kind of numbers outside the UK. The larger point being, yeah Linkin Park a pretty big deal worldwide and I think their reunion probably has overshadowed Oasis’ outside the UK. Which means the brothers have got some work to do in terms of promo, hype, touring this whole thing outside of their home turf. Dates inside the UK were always going to sell out with no effort required. But internationally, they’ve never been on the same scale and I’d imagine we’re going to start seeing more press, probably out of necessity. They’re far from the only big reunion - much less the only big touring act - next year. Anyone stateside who’d seen them back in the day or Noel more recently knows how big a gamble they’re taking that if these supposed leaked US gigs are real. Even in the UK the new song got to #2 on the single chart. Which is pretty mad considering the top 3 spots are generally taken up by whoever the biggest pop star is at any one time.

No one honestly cares about the band other than their usual fanbase, it’s certainly not in any way more important or popular than the reunion. It’s such a pointless conversation and comparison, I don’t understand the thought process of some people. Impatience breeds negativity.

No one can compare the greatness of an Oasis’ reunion with Linkin Park’s new album and tour. Chill out.

That's the problem of the modern days: with custom feeds on social medias and google, everyone thinks their world is the only existing world;

If you told someone in the UK that Linkin Park are a bigger band than Oasis you would be sectioned!
Oasis were front page news in every newspaper and on every news channel. Not heard one mention of Linkin Park here! They are pretty much irrelevant!
Maybe there’s a lot more emo kids in other countries!

As for Italy, I can assure you that Linkin Park have the same notoriety as Oasis, if not slightly more. Between 2002 and 2010, most of my friends listened to Linkin Park and didn't know Oasis (they only got to know Oasis thanks to me). I still know people who are 35 years old today who love and collect Linkin Park albums and know very little about Oasis. The little bit of Oasis they know, they don't even appreciate. In the last two weeks, Virgin Radio Italia (which also often talks about Oasis) has been doing a huge promotion of the LPs. Even on Italian social media, the LPs have temporarily overshadowed the Oasis reunion.
I have honestly never liked the Oasis staff. They have always handled things rather badly and the idea of not taking advantage of all the (international) hype that there was a while ago is unjustifiable and idiotic. They had achieved immense media coverage, everyone was talking about them even in my country where almost no one knew them. It was time to add "wood to the fire", instead they immediately fell silent after the ticket sales and now the LPs have taken their place and continue to do so constantly.

Not true! I have a lot of friends in Italy and they’re all talking about Oasis! It’s all over the news over there.
I ask them about Linkin Park and they are like “Who are these guys, we haven’t heard of them”.
A real shame!

Oasis have invaded the world for a week like a nuclear bomb but all the hype seems to have been absorbed quite quickly. At least for now. Linkin Park have a new album already available for preorder that will be released in less than two months, while the first gig of the live25 tour is still 10 months away. As much as I need an interview with Liam and Noel or ANY info I understand why they're taking it slow.

Nothing wrong with Liam's singing at the boxing, he just started to rehearse kermit for 2025.

Just wanted to remind you guys, this thread is about Oasis reunion, not Oasis vs Linkin Park thread.
Personally, I can't be bothered about Linkin Park whether they are worldwide well-known than Oasis or not.

I'd rather a horde of ravenous gerbils gnaw my cock and balls off than ever hear a Linkin Park song ever again. Ever.
