Regardless of what people say... Not a great look first show post Oasis announcement He's been touring non-stop all year and has now reached the end (almost). His schedule will be clear after tomorrow until July, so he'll be well-rested and he'll sound great Hope so. He hasn't performed in 27 days. And has only done 4 gigs in 69 days...

Objectively, he did sound pretty bad Of course people on here will defend him, justify it or whatever, it's normal. To the wider public, they just watched him shout down the mic for 10 minutes. Yeah, but there’s a reason to justify it? He’s at the end of his tour. If it was a one off gig and he was in hiding for 6 months, I would have understood your point more. Didn't sound that much different to how he did on the tour really. It's fine, people on here are just never gonna accept his voice is a bit shot and has been for a couple of decades.

To be fair when you're there at the gigs singing along with the rest of the crowd you're never going to notice if his voice is a bit off. I thought he sounded mega at the LGDM gigs during the summer. The televised performances are always going to pick up on every flat note etc but miss out on the buzz and atmosphere at his gigs.
I will say it was great to be able to see him properly and not hidden underneath that hat he's been wearing for the last few months (cool as it is.)
I do hate to see him being slated so badly on twitter. Especially when you know he'll see it all.

There is no justification for it. If he can’t perform nearly a month after his last tour date then he shouldn’t be agreeing to televised performances. That was atrocious tonight.

Maybe Liam should try actually singing the songs! Stop shouting!

Him being over 50 could be. He wouldn't be the first 50 year old to turn in a dodgy performance

Makes you wonder why they didn’t wait to announce the Oasis reunion after this weekend? This and that Malta weekender seem a bit of a bust now we now what’s coming. I think the announcement was slated for around October. It seems to me that the rumors were picking up pace (I started this thread just prior to that, for example) and management needed to get ahead of the rumors. Maybe that’s why we haven’t heard much since - they had to bring forward the announcement, altering whatever timeline that had planned and scheduled. I haven’t heard tonight’s performance, but the geezer essentially just played a league season and then a World Cup and people don’t expect him to be tired lol. He needs a rest just like any other performer, athlete, singer or otherwise. One bad performance does not negate the last seven years. Liam has been pretty much relentless with his time within those years. I think we can excuse a bad night and the need of rest.

Only saw C&A. Based on that performance, I don’t have a clue what the negativity is about… Sounded good to me.

It’s also his 52nd birthday today. Don’t ruin his celebrations.
Happy Birthday, RKID.

Noel watches live performance, hears Liam's vocals and calls off reunion.

Everyone has bad days.
It’s not the end of the world, is it?
(Although it seems to be for some folk on here)

Some of you really sound like a bunch of haters, is this really an Oasis fan forum? Oasis already get a lot of hate comments, like have you seen the reunion announcement post on the BBC Insta page, it was full of miserable people who don't like Oasis anyway and just want to hate them and that are also the same people who are looking to bash Liam now. But it's disappointing when some people here have the same miserable attitude

Terrible tonight. Too shouty. Compare this to the Jonathon Ross show with Squire. Huge difference. Yes, yes, different songs and set up etc, but poor effort tonight Liam.

BREAKING NEWS: Liam Gallagher SHOUTS on stage.
Maybe I'm listening to a different performance, but how fussy can some people be? This was a perfectly fine performance, sounded exactly like how he did for quite a bit of 2017, the year of his so called miraculous comeback.

Just saw the whole thing. While obviously not his best performance, it was far better than the last several years of Oasis. Seems like a pretty big overreaction to act like it was dreadful/unlistenable dog shit.

I honestly don't give a shit that Liam didn't sound his best tonight. I'm disappointed for him that he's getting so much abuse online, but the man is still an absolute legend and it doesn't lessen my excitement about the reunion, new music (hopefully), and the gigs next year.

That performance with John was right at the start of the year when Liam was rested, this one was his penultimate gig until next year after months of constant performing. The difference was always going to be huge

There's always going to be a massive difference when singing on a talk show compared to Wembley in front of 96,000 people or whatever it was.

I take back what I said, I’d only heard the audio before, and to now pair it with the video, I think it was a pretty good performance, and especially so on the chorus of supersonic, I assume he was drinking since it’s his birthday which resulted in the hoarseness.
