First gig will definitely NOT go down like this, right? Been caught punchin’ once when I was 65, I like punchin’, it’s just as simple as that, well it’s a simple fact, when I hate my guitarist and don’t want him to play a track

So, forum is dead again? 🤣 I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Surely we’ll get more information before the year 2025 itself, right? …. Right… ?

No one like him has managed to give justice to those songs. Not even Alan.

Oasis management really knows how to keep that momentum 🤓 They’ve just told over a million tickets Don’t know what momentum is needed! They’ve nothing to sell, no new music, gigs are sold out and ten months away. Sure I’d like stuff but why would they?

Chris Sharrock is the only post-Tony drummer to really "get" Rock N Roll Star. And Chris rocks more than Tony. But I still think Alan is way better than Zak on that song. Overall I think Chris did a much better job than Zak covering the classic catalogue of Oasis songs and would be an excellent choice for the reunion. That said, Alan was, imo, THE Oasis drummer and it'd be great to have him on the kit. After Steve White's recent comment about Noel, though, I don't see it happening. I think Noel feels a bit guilty about the Alan situation and purposely ignores his importance. The fact is WTSMG could not be what it is without Alan. You could have switched out Guigsy and Bonehead (and I love those guys' contributions to the band) for other players on that record and it would still be what it is. But without Noel, Liam, AND Alan, it's just not WTSMG. In that Gibson interview I believe Noel even says that every time Alan hear's the drum fill in Don't Look Back in Anger he's probably proud. Noel knows.

Noel knows. I agree. The band wanting Zak back is just Noel and his Beatles fandom getting the better of him. Could be forgiven for run of the mill tours in the mid 2000s but for a reunion of this scale and importance, it's a bit of a joke. Its common sense that you'd get Whitey back as he was part of the iconic era and more importantly played a major part in making those songs timeless. Starkey sums up the mediocre sound and lack of ambition of their mid 2000s era and harking back to that era is pointing the bands legacy in the wrong direction. Bonehead and Whitey for different reasons have more of a reason to join this tour than anyone else. Whether the casuals know it or not, they play a major part in why those songs are so beloved.
