I wonder if they are leaving all the promo until Liam’s Malta weekender is done. Liam's called Malta his "last giggle as a solo star."
So Oasis is the going concern for the forseeable?

Sorry for sounding like the corporate guy but you do your communication according to your market position. Oasis being have made headlines in France with nothing as they’re cultural icons, while Linkin Park has to prove they’re somewhat still relevant with a new singer to showcase. No push notifications on my phone for them… When you’re excepected the more you show the more you may disappoint, whereas when no-one expect you you have to create interest. Oasis returning is like Apple announcing a new product with juste a flyer and everone going mad about it. you've all missed my point entirely - I'm not talking about marketing. I'm talking about the direct and intentional fan involvement from the start. Making sure only the diehards are at their first intimate gig. Having a solid and tangible plan to get tickets for the tour into the fans' hands FIRST. Even the Apple Music interview seems like a deliberate choice for the fans - casual listeners of any band are unlikely to sit down and listen to an hour of an artist talking, but the fans can know exactly why the band decided to come back, what their process was, and where they plan to go with their reunion. Sure Oasis has created a media storm by doing essentially nothing but dropping a tour. But it's far more disconnected from the fanbase than what I'm seeing with LP (a band that has always been tight with its fans). Some acknowledgement of what the intentions even are with the Oasis reunion, some acknowledgement of how long fans have waited to see them, some specific intention of making sure the diehards are at the gigs... that's what we are missing that LP has done wonderfully so far. The amount of speculation that the Oasis gigs are just for the money on this forum alone, forget the rest of the internet, proves that. There's a lot less real connection in it from the band to the fans so far If it's any consolation, Liam said on twitter this morning that accusations of getting back together for the money aren't true. He said they did it for a variety of reasons: their mother, family, fans, music etc

He said they did it for a variety of reasons: their mother, family, fans, music etc I saw that as well, and I'm very glad that management has released Liam back to the wild lol I don't doubt the curly wurlies part at all tbh. It costs a lot to put on stadium tours. The payroll for crew alone is a long list, let alone catering, transportation, gear transportation, stage setup. The artist usually does walk away with a shockingly small percentage of ticket sales at the end of the day. But great to finally hear it from one of them directly

I'm here with a glass of wine looking back at some interviews with the two of them together (yes it is a wild Saturday night I'm having) , and I'm getting excited for the interviews, photos, album (hopefully), merch etc that's coming our way. It's going to be a great couple of years.

I wish Liam would chill a bit on Twitter. It's funny for a bit then it's not. Telling fans to get a refund if they don't like it isn't a good look.

But great to finally hear it from one of them directly Dear me, we're now calling £50m quid each a shockingly small percentage? Let's not pretend it had to be like this, or it's because of the costs of running a gig. Big artists love to costs as an excuse and they just wish they could charge less, while somehow managing to magically make a fortune despite really doing all they could to keep costs down! Prices were set at the level they had to be to make the Gallagher's the amount of money they wanted.

It’s a joke… Yeah it's an unfunny joke when you advertise a price at the start of a queue, quadruple it at the end of the queue, and suddenly some poor soul has paid a months rent because they got to the front of the queue after 6 hours. I'm not moaning about the price, because lots of artists do it, but I think some people are justifiably annoyed at the lack of info about the price surging beforehand. And I love Liam and his sense of humour, but telling his fans to get a refund if they don't like it isn't cool when Ticketmaster don't give refunds unless the event is cancelled. The rest of his cajoling the press and winding them up has been joyous to watch on twitter, but that comment in particular irked me. Who knows, maybe I'm must be a woke snowflake or something

Id think ticketmaster/mgt etc all knew this would make insane bank IF they Liam and noel came back together so I cant believe that both of them was not given VERY generous terms if they did and defo not a shockingly small percentage to be reunited. and low and behold with very very small amounts of actual promotion they made insane bank

Some on here have liked to think Liam is different to Noel somehow, more real, it turns out now that they are exactly the same. And maybe Liam also only ever wanted a reunion for the money. Their last ever gig left a bunch of fans disappointed because they had a fight backstage. Their next gigs they do don't seem to even be bothered to give the fans any reason to think it will be fun or exciting or anything other than a couple of people doing the minimum to grab some cash. i.e. exactly the same as their last tour. I have a ticket but if I have to see two miserable souls on stage like the DOYS tour I reserve my right to be a bit pissed off.
