I won’t quote that gigantic Spotify statistics post, but can anyone see what Wonderwall is doing in total? I think it’s one of the few tunes >1B streams (or 2B, not sure, don’t have Spotify). I think Wonderwall and Smells like Teen Spirit are the only two 90s songs to hit a billion. And Wonderwall was first in 2020 Edit: just checked and both are at 2 billion. Come as you are by nirvana over a billion too

Huuuge UK figures in streaming and sales for the boys after the announcement. 27 songs on Spotify Top 200. That's increíble. Maybe some songs Will chart for the first time this friday. And they will have 3 Top 10 albums. Unreal Albums (Top 100) Wednesday preview 01 Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet (74,889) [55,811 physicals, 18,129 streaming, 949 downloads] 02 Fontaines D.C. - Romance (34,255) 03 Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (5,997) 04 Oasis - Time Flies: 1994-2009 (5,803) 05 Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (5,688) 09 Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory? 10 Travis Scott - DAYS BEFORE RODEO 11 Lainey Wilson - Whirlwind 13 Oasis - Definitely Maybe 17 Louis Tomlinson - LIVE (snip) Fantastic to see Live Forever streamed higher than any of their others. The quintessential Oasis song - if the casuals get it, you get Oasis. Indeed. I am surprised to see “She’s Electric” around the top 20, ahead of songs like “Some Might Say” and “The Importance of Being Idle.”

I'm a natural worrier, but the nerves ahead of saturday are setting in big time now. People I know that normally wouldn't give a fuck about Oasis are in on this, I guess such is the desire to be apart of this history.
Remember when Noel said they could have done something like 13 nights at Knebworth? I hope that they'll remember that and think "fuck it, we'll ride the wheels off this across summer 2025 and smash the biggest UK tour in history".

Loved the Supersonic documentary and is obsessed with… she’s electric.

Yeah couldve been 20 gigs at Knebworth. 2.5M applied for 250k tickets.

Still can't believe it took 15 years. That's much longer than the average pop/rock group split.
I think in my mind back in 2009, it was going to be a five year break max and they'd come back. So essentially wasn't too disappointed what with both Noel and Liam material to follow.
But the years just crept by. And so it went on and on. We just got normalised to life without Oasis, but discussing album rumours, producer choices and setlists the last day or two, it all feels so normal again.
Like an old friend you haven't seen in years, you're overwhelmed to see them again but like a true friend, familiarity takes hold not long after.

Can anyone who's been share with me what to expect at Heaton Park?
American here. Want to go to Manchester for obvious reasons. We don't really have huge capacity field shows here in the states. Will I have to camp out in line for like three days to get a decent spot? And as someone who may have a harder time health wise with standing in the sun for long periods of time am I gonna have a better gig if I go for Wembley and get seats?
Cheers.

Even my younger friends who don't know much about Oasis other than Wonderwall have all asked about Downsview Park in Toronto
We might do 50k if the lineup hits

My 10 year forumversary is in January and it happened before that. Unreal. Like you said, between all the hypothetical Dig Out Your Soul tracklists, Beady's reunion threads (still hilarious and mythic that he's the OP of THIS thread), the wave of trolls, the Liam and Noel cake wars, and how ploddy If I Had A Gun's album mix is, we actually made it.

Okay. Half seriously half jokingly… has Noel really agreed? Vibes feel wayyyy offff. Why haven’t we heard from Noel and Liam? I am very nervous about this. We're being drip-fed things! Marketing genius imo, everyone's clamouring for content so by making us wait it means people don't forget this is even happening after a week

I think the Guardian saying there are no plans has thrown people a bit, it makes it sound as though it's been said outright but it hasn't. They're just going on the fact that nothing has been announced yet and assuming that that's the way it'll remain

I wonder if this is before or after he wrote the "defiant rock album"? I don't have the podcast patreon so I'm not sure when it was time wise. Interesting thoughts though.

that account is not liam. whoever is using it knows how to post photos and videos, which liam definitely can't do. his writing style is easy to imitate. Liam has posted both photos and videos to his account.

I also doubt they've had all those venues and countries booked without anything leaking.. they can keep things super close to their chests in the UK, but to book a whole world tour without one thing getting out? I don't think so Living in Australia I also really doubt they're playing Perth and ONLY Perth unless it's a Government funded event like Coldplay / WWE, both of which were leaked well in advance and aren't hyped as this.

Aye only Perth is a bit mad. Also does anyone call it Perth Stadium and not Optus Stadium? I reckon AAMI Park or a couple of Rod Lavers in Melb, Accor Stadium in Syd, the Riverside in Brisbane, a Perth date and a date in Aukland and one in Wellington — to make the trip worth the $$$. Leakers of this kinda info I don't think realise the gargantuan amount of money it takes to bring a juggernaut like Oasis to our continent, unless someone is funding heavily enough to just be one exclusive date.
