There's even a third Big Star song with a name in the title (kinda ) EDIT: Actually, not really, I thought that Ahn was an other way of writing Ann in english speaking countries. I thought it was done on purpose by Chilton, "Ann" and "on" sounding the same. There is a third song I somehow missed actually! Daisy Glaze Ah yeah, true

I'm finally watching The Good Place, I can't believe it took me so long!
Is not only funny, it also has very interesting twists and isn't afraid of changing the direction of the series to avoid repetition.

How people like Conrad Lugauer and Christophe martens still have professional trotting drivers licences is beyond me Lugauer: Attacked Johan Svensson, who was trying to mind his own business, then a month later dumps Carl Johan Jepson from the sulky for a feelings hurt situation (CJP also minding his own) Martens: Did the former with Junior Guelpa.
EDIT: Don't mae me get hell on you, Senator Faruqi.

I saw on Autumnwatch last week that Herons actually fly in the dark. I never knew this to be honest. Mind you, years ago when I lived at a different address, one night I had been out and when I was going home I saw two grey herons sat on someones roof which were lovely to see. But I'm not sure what they were doing there.

Here's a question for some of you who live in cold countries: How do you keep a bedroom warm during cold months? I moved a year ago and haven't purchased yet any heater. I'm looking for something I can programe, for example to start working 1 hour before going to bed. Does yer house no have central heating? Stick it on in the bedroom an hour before you go to bed?

I'm lucky as my heating comes in the rent where I live so I don't have big heating bills. When it gets to this time of the year I leave my heating on all night. But if it's milder like it is now I don't have it on before bed time as I'm warm enough.

Had this whole bullshit situation where for some reason my sister's uni accommodation for next September has to be sorted out immediately and the landlord won't accept my mum as a guarantor in spite of the frankly outrageous amount of money she currently has in her bank account because she's in the process of buying a new house right now and therefore isn't a homeowner, so I also have to be a guarantor. This means apparently infinite forms, bank statements and payslips, but also my mum can't work out how to upload her stuff so I have to do hers too. Ultimately the root of this is her father being a useless piece of shit and me stepping into what should really be his role and it just brings home the fact that even nearly 20 years after I no longer had to share a home with this prick I never really get to escape it.

YouTube went from people doing stupid shit in 2004, to people saying stupid shit in 2020. Progress, of sorts.

Thanks for the tips! I forgot to say I live in Spain (in the mediterranean coast), we have only around 2-3 months of cold so it's not really worth it to install central heating. I guess a plug-in radiator with a timer is my best choice.

In today's paper there's a picture of a monkey lying on the ground and the other appears to be giving it a mouth to mouth resuscitation. It turns out that the monkey just wanted some attention. Animals can be really crafty at times.

If I'm cold, I'll wrap one around me - so warm that I can easily end up sweating in it.

Usually it's the opposite... A blanket is always enough to stay warm even if it's cold in the room. I've also slept outside without a tent in a sleeping bag while it was minus degrees celsius (and snowing but we made this cover from spruce branches) and the sleeping bag just kept me so warm!

This. Wrapped myself in one on a cold evening once watching the TV as I was tight arsed about putting on the heating. Couldn't believe it, thought it was a revelation how very warm and comfortable it was. Don't know why nobody else has 'cottoned' on - fuck the energy companies, buy a blanket!
