So as some of you may know I'm in a Liam Gallagher tribute band called "Near Liam Gallagher" www.facebook.com/nearLGWe are thinking about switching to a full on Oasis tribute though and most of the typical things that spring to mind for a band name are already taken. I thought I'd throw it over to you lot to see if you can think of anything original as I'm not having much luck myself. |

I’ll take a shot: Supersonic (has brand recognition built in given movie) Some Might Say Supernova Mad Fer It Morning Glory (instant recognition + brings in the kids and "yanks" like me looking to hear Wonderwall) Shakermakers The High Horse Ladies  |

Thanks for all the replies, I know how this forum loves a pun so knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Some nice ideas here.
Still very much undecided on a name, I feel like it needs to be very in your face to what it is, using Oasis in the actual name if possible.
An idea I had was "OasisaO" - A Tribute to Oasis reflecting the sound and look of the real thing.
Awful?

I think you do either need the band name in there, or have a word that immediately associates with the brand that the general public will recognize. Supersonic or Morning Glory are probably best bets as far as direct song/album titles go (assuming you don’t want to call the band Wonderwall). I did like the recommendation here for “Live4ever” also. And just thought of “Definitely, Oasis”. Good luck mate! |
