There's Also A Completely Brand New Never Released And Unheard Oasis Song With Liam On Vocals Called "Way Of The World" From Around This Time That's Never Seen The Light Of Day Ofc And Actual Real Recordings Of LG Singin "Stop The Clocks" And "I Wanna Live In A Dream(In My Record Machine)" Etc!!!! All In The Possession Of The One And Fuckin Only Kyle Dale (OCG) X Let's hope Kyle will share them, would love to listen to these recordings I just hate the hoarding. Even hiding behind the “oh it’s not mine to release” side of things. I get that people oh money for these things but surely the value is in the unique physical item rather than depriving people of the music. Fair play and eternal gratitude to everyone who shares demos, gigs, custom artwork or whatever.

Liam sounds really good on it, he sounds great on those DBTT demos, his vocals on Love Like a Bomb demo is way better than the raspy studio version.

I always thought the odd grammar was deliberate and that's one of the reasons I liked the song - almost like some sort of speech pattern from the middle ages or the Bible. Indeed in terms of the spelling of the song title the image of a "son" having risen (instead of a "sun") also leans into that Bible imagery. Now I'm told it's not deliberately odd and clever but just the band being a bit stupid? If that's true (and actually I find it hard to believe nobody in the band picked up on the odd phrasing at some stage of the writing/recording) then I don't like it as much! Sorry, but The Morning Sun has falled in my estimation. I don't think it was due to laziness in this particular instance mainly because 'risen' just doesn't fit with the melody, BUT it does get on my nerves a bit cause I'm a pedant! They could have just changed "has rose" to "arose". The fact they didn't make a relatively simple change like this makes me think the grammar "error" is deliberate (somebody in the band would have spotted it) and Andy is winding that interviewer up. Or even He's in my mind, he's in my soul He's even in my rock'n'roll I stand alone, staying hidden The morning son has risen

This song deserved a much much better vocal performance. Not sure what Noel and Dave were going for. It’s far too raw and raspy. Same goes for The Meaning of Soul. It doesn’t show Liam in the best of life. The backing music and guitar stuff is excellent but those vocals did not age well at all.

The raspy vocals on the studio version is definitely supposed to match the punchiness of the percussion. It makes sense. They just pushed it too far; they needed to keep the cleanness of the demo vocals while finding moments for a more textured delivery.

I don't think it was due to laziness in this particular instance mainly because 'risen' just doesn't fit with the melody, BUT it does get on my nerves a bit cause I'm a pedant! Or even He's in my mind, he's in my soul He's even in my rock'n'roll I stand alone, staying hidden The morning son has risen I'm usually picky about making words fit melody forcefully (IE: "you got the nerves, I got the brains, we got them crawling up and down on their hands and they kneeeaass"). But with grammar, I actually like these little things. Like George Harrison's When We Was Fab or "She's got a ticket to ride and she don't care" or "if the sun don't come" Liam sounds really good on it, he sounds great on those DBTT demos, his vocals on Love Like a Bomb demo is way better than the raspy studio version. If anything, the song's production is too polished. It should be "dirtier" for a lack of a better term.

To be honest the error in The Morning Son has never really bothered me and I've always liked the song but if I compare the song with Wigwam the latter song is always the one I've preferred out of the two.

Listening to this demo, I was once again reminded that "The Morning Son" is just one good riff that gets fully beaten into the ground. It's better than "The Nature of Reality," but that ain't saying much. Personally, not having it on DOYS is negligible.

It really falls off a cliff after Falling Down. GOYHHL isn’t great but I think if the second half was better it would support that as the sort of dud on the album. To Be Where There’s Life would have been better with guitars but there’s no salvaging Ain’t Got Muffins and Nature of Reality. If Come On Outside and Record Machine had been sung by Liam and included on this album in their place the album would have been without doubt their best since Morning Glory. Soldier On works as a closer and I think would be fine amongst better songs but everything else sort of ruins it. Did Four Letter Word exist at the time of DOYS? If so that should definitely have been on the album in place of Nature of Reality. Bag It Up The Turning Waiting For the Rapture The Shock of the Lightning I’m Outta Time High Horse Lady/Four Letter Word or even just throw on Lord Don’t Slow Me Down by Noel Falling Down To Be Where There’s Life (Guitars) Come On Outside (Liam) Record Machine (Liam) Soldier On

High Horse Lady is alright, is good enough in the context of the album. To Be Where There's Life desperately needed to have more guitars and to have been heavier in general. Wembley 2008 version of it is top-tier and that's how the album version should have been. The Nature of Reality and especially Ain't Got Nothing are really shit though, no saving those. Your replacement suggestions would also fit perfectly. That, and if I Believe in All and Boy with the Blues were B-Sides instead of the remixes, DOYS would've definitely their best 2000s output by a good margin.

I like getting the remixes but they’d have been fine on the bonus disc in the box set. Such a pity. The material was there it just didn’t come together right.

Bag It Up The Turning Waiting For the Rapture The Shock of the Lightning I’m Outta Time High Horse Lady Record Machine Falling Down To Be Where There’s Life (i like it like that actually, although the remix version is pretty cool too) Come On Outside The Boy With the Blues
Huge record
Cant wait to hear all the alternate versions of The Boy With the Blues, come on outside, record machine. The era between 2004/2008 has probably tons of stuff we have yet to hear

The solution to DOYS isn't that "The Morning Son" (at best, it's a high-quality b-side) should've been on it. Noel made the right decision not including it. Rather the album simply needed more Noel-written, Liam-sung tunes like Record Machine.

DOYS is still a huge album and is still their best since WTSMG even with the two songs you lot don't like. I can't relate to most people's takes on this or any other Oasis album that gets overly picked at. People talking about swapping a mere two songs on DOYS. Like that's not a bad fucking album if your only gripe is TWO songs. That should still be considered a fantastic album. I'll never understand why so many Oasis fans are so harsh on the band they claim to love, some people here more harsh on Oasis than non-Oasis fans I know.

I think DOYS has better individual songs but DBTT is a stronger album as they are in its current form.

Let's hope Kyle will share them, would love to listen to these recordings I just hate the hoarding. Even hiding behind the “oh it’s not mine to release” side of things. I get that people oh money for these things but surely the value is in the unique physical item rather than depriving people of the music. Fair play and eternal gratitude to everyone who shares demos, gigs, custom artwork or whatever. Amazing. I literally release one weeks ago and still getting a bashing and the credit goes to other people. I had to spend £3000 of my families savings to get these, but you're right.... a 30p cdr is the value. I think ive added quite a few new items in the last 2 years. I'm interested... how many does it take before I'm not a "hoarder" Unbearably ungrateful and its no wonder people hoard stuff.

Look, you can't take the opinions of a few people being ungrateful as representative of the whole fanbase, no matter what you or anyone else does you're going to get some bashing from somewhere it just goes with the territory. People want to hear this stuff and sometimes people are going to say irrational things in their frustration but the overwhelming majority are over the moon when we get to hear it and really thankful to anyone who shares previously unheard stuff. I'm a bit out of the loop on this so forgive me if I get this wrong but from reading this thread I'm guessing you shared the song with that Maxi guy on youtube and now he's getting all the credit? Do yourself a favour and just share it directly next time or at least ask whoever you shared it with who's going to release it to make it clear on their video that you're the one who shared it. If you want to share more then we'd all be really grateful but ultimately you're right, you paid a lot of money for it so it's up to you. But if you do you're always going to get grief for it because people will always want more. Most of us really appreciate anyone who puts unreleased stuff out there for everyone to hear especially from those who have spent a lot of money to acquire it. But don't let a few posts on the internet get your back up too much, literally everything that's ever been posted to the internet has a few negative comments and some sort of a backlash no matter what it is. Some of it's jealousy, some of it's entitlement and some of it is just misdirected frustration, it's just human nature through the filter of the modern day internet don't let it get to you. I really enjoyed listening to the demo, thanks for sharing.

Kyle, I second this, as a fan of Oasis, Beady Eye, NGHFB and LG and everything in between, I'm very grateful for all you've shared, including the videos on the OCG Youtube channel. Unfortunately, and I don't want to sound nasty to him, but Maxi Gonzalez or whatever his name is, seems to be a bit of a fraud. I appreciate that he puts a lot of effort into his mixes, however, he also likes to take the credit for uploading content that he has 'borrowed' from other sources. He seems like one of the worst to share this sort of stuff with as he will make a point of taking the credit where possible. But us who read between the lines know exactly who to thank. Just know that I, and 99% of the Oasis community, are thankful that you are taking the time to share things, at great expense to yourself
