I just love this period and SOTSOG as an album. It’s such an anomaly in their history. It’s not the glory years but it’s not the LAG era either, it’s like the epilogue to MK1 but still feeling very separate.
I still say it is LAMB away from being truly great. It’s my 2nd favourite as it is, I love the mood, the lyrics, the production but that song would possibly elevate it to first.
Also Gas Panic! Is their best song

There's something special about this era. For me, it started in December 99 when I saw GLIO video on TV and managed to tape it on VHS. I watched it over and over. I remember going to the library often to read the music magazines and look for news and updates on SOTSOG.
I think it was Melody Maker or NME where there was an article about the album. They described the album track by track and it just made the anticipation for the album grow stronger. I had no access to the Internet so I was relying on magazines and TV. I liked that. Good times and memories.

Pity that it's probably not archived anywhere. I remember printing out the track by track review before school and would read it over and over in between periods and lunch. If I recall correctly, some bits were that PYMWYMI had “Who” like keyboards, Sunday Morning Call would be a “Christmas #1” and Roll It Over had just the right amount of space for the guitars as a final anthem.

I remember those quotes too. It was a very detailed and accurate article. If oa515.com was still active, the article might have been there.

I remember walking to Wembley for the second day / night in 2000... the mood was electric. The mood on the field during the day was immense... friendly, up for it and happy. fuckin in the bushes came on and the field moved literally 40 feet if not more in one almghty surge... amazing gig.

2000-04-17 Q101 (WKQX 101.1 FM) Studios, Chicago Hey Hey My My Believed to be part of a four song session for radio but was never broadcast. Broadcast next day and available as .asx file from official website at the time - now taken down. Can be heard here at 1:22:21 Taken from Oasis-live.net www.oasis-live.net/shows/2000/2000-04-17Supposedly a studio session for Q101 (WKQX) in Chicago. Noel is on vocal duty and Liam thanks the crowd at the end of the song, saying "it's good to play for you again", suggesting that he fronted at least one other song in the set. For a while U had I suspected that Q101 had just broadcast a live take from a date of the 2000 tour but can't find a show with a version of "Hey Hey, My My" that sounds like this... Anyone have any information about this?

2000-10-31 Q Awards, Park Lane Hotel, London, UK Hargreaves explainer The fat dancer quote came from an interview Noel did with Heat Magazine 24th February 2000 oasisinterviews.blogspot.com/2000/02/noel-gallagher-heat-24th-february-2000.html?m=1So you and Robbie are not friends any more then? I've never been his friend. He was Liam's friend. Liam used to invite him to the gigs and stuff like that. I've been in dressing rooms with him, I've had conversations with him but I wouldn't even consider him to be a friend of mine. Why? Because he was in Take That! He's a fat dancer from Take That. Somebody who danced for a living! Stick to what you're good at, that's what I always say.

I think it was a "track by track" review from Melody Maker magazine, in which Noel (with slightly long hair) appeared on the cover. I have that magazine, and several from that era, I can scan the article and upload it, if you want. But I'll need some time. I have those old magazines at my mum's house. When I go, I'll look for it and scan it.

Sorry for the delay in responding, but it took me a few days to go to my mother's house, look for the magazines and scan them... but it's done! Additionally, I have taken the opportunity to scan other magazines from that era that I have found. There is news related to the band, announcements, interviews and SOTSOG reviews. *There are a couple of interviews that came in separate issues of NME and UNCUT magazine, so I have merged them into the same file, as I find it more comfortable to read. Well I hope you enjoy it! www.mediafire.com/file/8itypiagppy075u/Music_Magazines_2000_by_Ajito.zip/fileP.S. Lennon2217: the track by track review it's the file named "Melody Maker 19.02.2000" P.S.2 "The Fan-ishinquisition" (NME) is really funny.
