Ignition is the Rockstar Games of record companies. Millions of fans around the world and tons of stuff in the vault and opportunities to give us fresh experiences with past material. Instead we get a reissue of a album with decade old "remasters". What's even worse is that back then they were just as bad. The Be Here Now demos, and Noel's DYKWIM? rethink/remix is going to be the best thing we get for a long time.

It's hideous how bad the management and label is taking care of the Oasis archive since the very good Chasing The Sun series. We already talked a couple of times here about some Vault series of concerts etc. It's just ridiculous they didn't get something like that together to this date. Especially as it's well known that they are sitting on a lot of material that would be a great fan service. They are probably counting the days to the next DM birthday instead of coming up with some "fresh" content for the Masterplan reissue. Yikes. I didn't think the Chasing the Sun reissues were good at all. Majority of the bonus content for DM and WTSMG were demoes we already heard and live performances - the bain of any reissue package. The piecemeal we got of brilliance from the Be Here Now reissue was the only solid thing. Look at those Beatles reissues from the last decade - new mixes, tons of never before heard takes, different alternate mixes, includes the original mono mixes, 5.1 audio - nothing but the best. R.E.M. did the same for their reissues, full Atmos remixes from Scott Litt, Monster got a completely new mix, and not to mention the amazing release of Devil Rides Backwards which has become of the favorites.

I've never understood the idea behind remastering such brickwalled albums. Sure, I bought them, but I'm an idiot. Wake me when the new mixes come - that's where it could get interesting again. If my expectations for the DM 30th were tiny before, they're microscopic now.

Cash grab, that's it.
The only thing that appeals to me is the green vinyl but I can't justify spending โฌ50+ on a record that I already own multiple copies of.

I think they missed a huge opportunity with the tote bags. Imagine a nice dark green tote bag with "The Masterplan 25 Years" and the logo they used for the album on both sides of the bag. Put that at 40 pounds and we would've completely forgiven them.
Apparently you read this forum Oasis management, so get on this quick!

The Oasis management really need to get their fingers out and give us something worth buying and what we really want instead of the same re-releases like we've had recently.

All of these tracks were released on the DM, WTSMG, and BHN anniversary releases. SO we already have a remastered version of this album. Sure, to my knowledge I am the Walrus is a different track length, but other than that, all of the remastered tracks from these releases are the same as the originals, correct?
If TMP doesn't have any bonus material, then this is a sadly pointless release. Unless I'm wrong about the other remastered tracks being the same as the originals, just remastered.

Instead of this I'd rather we get a SOTSOG reissue with demos, outtakes, alt tracks, unreleased material, etc. Certainly not the best time for the band but a very interesting one at that. Well worth exploring.

This is ridiculous.
Not buying any of these.
And those "remasters" don't sound particularly better than the original versions.
Scam.

I might buy the CD to rip to my itunes, purely because the original sounded like mud and it's a great compilation, will be nice to have a listenable verison.
But yeah ... disappointing.

Listen Up is edited on The Masterplan as well. But Iโll be surprised if they bother to go back and recreate the edits of Listen Up and Walrus. I assume theyโll simply copy and paste the remasters they did for the Chasing the Sun editions of the first three albums, which were all full-length.

Very cool video, I like it For a lyric video, it's pretty cool but it would be better if they removed any and all traces of that cringey absurd official video they mustered up for Stop the Clocks. That video should be wiped off the Internet. Plus people who didn't see the official video in 2006 might wonder why there's a Japanese Liam wannabe in there. For Stop The Clocks, they should have remastered the version that came out for The Masterplan, which was awesome and captured the essence of both the band and the song. They couldn't have put the studio version over that video without additional editing (Whitey is playing differently, Noel has some additional solos and Liam's skipping the second verse) but still, it would have been better than the other one.

I'm really hoping for a 2CD or even 3CD of demos for the DBTT 20th anniversary in 2025. Isn't Noel and the band on record as saying they recorded 30-40 songs? The Death In Vegas demos would be a killer bonus in a super deluxe edition. They could dedicate a whole disc to the 10+ different versions of STC! Make it happen Noel

Edit: Could have been that 60 were written, rather than 60 recorded. Not sure.
