He’s already said he couldn’t do Dead to the world live. Strange situation where on tour he won’t be playing most of the best songs off his new album that are listed above.Surely though he has to release one of them as a single?

Given that people can already buy the songs individually I'm not exactly sure what determines whether a song is "released" as a "single" anyway these days.
If Noel just issues a press release announcing a song from the album is now a "single" does that now simply make it a single?

He won’t release more from this album. Council Skies is already dead from a sales point of view.

It's the DOYS tour all over again where Ain't Got Nothing made to the setlist while Bag It Up and The Turning were not even once performed. |

He won’t release more from this album. Council Skies is already dead from a sales point of view. Sad but true. His marketing strategy is horrible, but there's a whole other thread about it here. It's sad cos both of these deserved to be singles, much more than Open The Door imo |

I think it means a video will be made for the song in addition to the song being pushed on radio, thus giving the song more exposure than the other album tracks, and that would hopefully drive more listeners to the album itself. |

The best rocker he wrote since Be Here Now (the album). It's got a great aggression to it in the chorus that was missing from most of their later years. And a proper solo! Would have been cracking live. But DOYS was a huge missed opportunity all round, imagine it with Come on it's alright and a proper version of I wanna live in a dream. I still don't get how it was completely impossible for Liam to record the vocals because he missed the session he was supposed to. Vibes in the band were obviously very bad, Noel had basically given up by that point. |

Also, The Turning is one of my favorite Oasis' tunes of all times. |
