Would an Oasis reunion (I don't think it would happen) mean the end of NGHFB or do you think he would keep the NGHFB project around simultaneously? I would not want NGHFB to go away.

I think if Oasis does anything it will be a one-off show or one-off tour. If that happens, I am sure NGHFB would return as the outfit for Noel's new music — especially if he remains "experimental." I simply cannot see an Oasis album happening, nor do I want one.

I doubt it. If anything happened it would likely not be permanent.
Probably something like that 2000s reunion tour of The Police, where they had a one off 18 month reunion tour, but released nothing new and havent done anything else in the 15 years since.

Or they’ll do a one off show like Led Zep did
Imagine that, all the vaginas would get tickets no doubt

The guys in NGHFB would need a sizeable bonus for time off from Noel to even make Oasis work in any capacity. Same with the guys in Liam's touring band. The labels would have to coordinate together and revive Big Brother Ltd. in order for the old crew to come back. Chris and Gem would have no say in whether or not they could join the reunion as Bonehead would be in there in no time. Alan has expressed interest, by always somehow saying "Bags are packed!" just like Liam does in a joke-y way. So there's no ammo there for Alan. Guigs... Well hard to say with him. No word from Jay Darlington either, and he's absolutely gonna need to be apart of it if they were to bust out the old setlist. Liam will continue to tweet everything happening and maybe stir some trouble.
A lot of aging up has happened for our Oasis lads. But not any actual growing up has been done.
To answer your question in a more direct way, it comes back to what I said above. Sizeable bonuses. There's definitely no way Noel would let the High Flying Birds project go just to restart Oasis in any capacity.

He's far bigger part of Oasis history than Darlington.

I would assume a massive tour and possibly a new single to accompany

I think Noel would want to achieve something from any reunion, ie breaking some sort of record (excuse the pun) for it to even be of any interest to him so for that reason I see any reunion to include a new album, with an aim of making it one of the biggest, fastest selling albums of all time (in the U.K. at least). I’d also see it as a good bye from NG as a touring musician possibly. For that reason I’d see NGHFB folding. I can’t see any of this happening btw

I firmly believe the re-union will happen and a massive stadium tour. I also think some sort of oasis compilation album will be released and probably a one off new single to promote the tour. In terms of the future of NGHFB a lot will depend on how well liam and noel get on. If they get on really well they may make a new album. Noel will probably have loads of demos he could just knock into shape. Personally I don’t think the new album will happen it will just be a money making tour. You never know though. Both noel and liam know they aren’t going to get any bigger as solo artists . They are as big as they are going to get.

You're right.

If there's no Jay Darlington then there's no point in it happening. Unless they can get Zeb Jamison and his watch from the Familiar to Millions performance

i think a lot of NGHFB depends on how Ignition are managed.
His team are basically all on his coin, and if they need to keep paying the ignition staff, that depends on how that's paid for.
If the office staff are being paid out of that, and if the band are drawing salaries or retainers (Gem, Chris and Russ don't seem to do much outside of commitments with the Birds for example) then that has to be paid for- wasn't that one of the things Noel said about the Best of?
Obviously a major would be snapping up as much time as possible, and since Noel is good mates with Guy Osseray they'd have 360 deals dangled in front of them. Liam is the bankable one though, so need that star power.
I think if they came back it'd be all in again- for a lot of people, the HFBs wouldn't be the same draw- may as well wait until Oasis roll through in a bigger venue in summer.

Reunion or not I'm sure Noel will always do some stuff under that name for the rest of his life. Recording, playing live. So the answer is > NO

I don't see why it would need to be. If they reformed and did more albums, the solo stuff might be more spread out, but I don't see them abandoning their solo projects.

They might look at what The Roses did and milk it for one last swan song, I could maybe see something like that, would be a great event but can’t see them ever recording new music again together. Wouldn’t want HFB to end for the old Oasis catalog being played over again.

With the greatest of respect, the other band members are effectively session musicians. They aren’t salaried employees! If Noel decides to tour with Oasis over a 12 month period I doubt he’ll give much thought to the implications on his current touring band. He doesn’t owe them anything Same with Liam. In the event Oasis do reform, I’d expect the solo projects will start up again from 2024 and the brothers will see who’s available at that time.

In the event Oasis do reform, I’d expect the solo projects will start up again from 2024 and the brothers will see who’s available at that time. If anything, they still are paid session musicians. But I agree. They're also their own businessmen. Russ and the rest of the guys and gals. When I said what I said about the band and how financially, it's not beneficial for Noel to literally do anything about Oasis, I did mean it. And for good reason. The others-- They're their own people, and they also have other things going on for them besides Noel. But that's another issue for another tabled discussion in and of itself. It could bode well in reality that all of this is already discussed, maybe years ago now Noel has discussed this with the NGHFB band members, and that in the event it actually happens, they could get a sizeable piece and get to go off and do their own thing. It may very well be already said and we're just starting to really discuss it here. I'm not saying we shouldn't discuss it, but as fans, we can be very late to table any discussion about it. And I seem to be ranting about it now, but that's because it's the simple fact that nobody likes discussing money and where it goes to or who it goes to, at all. I will always continue to use the Song rights argument in terms of Liam. But for the session musicians (I don't like to call them that either), they're still looking to get paid at the end of the day. If they suddenly hear Noel is going to tour with Liam and the old band, they're screwed for whatever amount of time it takes for Noel to tour with Oasis, if he ever does. All theoretically, of course. Also, sorry for the huge reply in advance. Good discussion, I guess.

I really don't think a reunion will ever happen. But hypothetically if it did it would surely be a one off show or tour - they aren't releasing new music. Noel's songwriting and tastes have moved on, Liam's haven't, it would be 'play the hits' and rake in the coin, in which case Noel goes back to releasing cosmic pop under HFB.
Bearing in mind too that there was already tension in 2009 because Noel had declared he wanted a 5 year break but Liam didn't, and Liam has been quite prolific in releasing new material and touring, he surely wouldn't want to be dictated to buy whatever Noel's plans are when he can sell out stadiums and Knebworth on his own.

Yeah I agree with you and I can't see it'll ever happen and even if it did I doubt very much that it would be the end of Noel or Liam's solo careers anyway. I mean we all know that Liam get's bored quickly not doing anything where as Noel likes to take long breaks between albums.

Yeah. Both creatively and commercially NGHFB is mostly done. If Liam and Noel work out their issues NGHFB will be shelved for foreseeable future

I doubt they would ever work out their gigantic issues. I could see them swalling the pride for a very short reunion tour where they only play songs form the two first albuns and b-sides and then get back to their solo's acts.
Although Id love to see a new album and world tour with Noel penned songs sung by Liam

I sort of agree, but then I recall a tweet in recent months from Liam where he commented on one of Noels new songs and said something like 'It would be better if I was singing it'. Which is an underhanded compliment. Liam is liking some of what Noel is putting out. And he's suggesting he wants to sing Noel's new songs. Their tastes haven't differed that much.
