The actual Gibson acoustic he uses from that gig. He bought in early 2000 and used through 2009 with the band. Still sounds amazing. Can you post a photo? How did you get it?

I think I know the guitar you are talking about I think Gem also used this guitar for the following acoustic sessions during the DBTT tour: 25th Aug 05 Jo Whiley show, BBC Radio 1, Maida Vale Studios, UK 9th Sept 05 The End Session, End Radio, Seattle, USA I have looked on the Gem Archer gear website and it’s not mentioned at all.

Very nice guitar. Thanks for the reply I was wrong this guitar was not used on the DBTT acoustic sessions so mentioned earlier, I think he was using a 12 string.

I remember that event but did they do Tomorrow Never Knows? I can’t remember, it’s been so long since I heard it. I thought it was All You Need is Love or maybe I’m Only Sleeping. First time I'm hearing this, I'm surprised it hasn't shown up on any bootleg at the time, nor that anyone mentioned it ever since on the forums I was browsing: I was totally unaware of that performance until 2023! 🤯

I have been trying to find a good HD copy of the show. There is one on YT but not great quality.

You're not going to get much better than the link below tbh, unless someone made a DVD recording of the broadcast which is relatively unlikely in 2000.

Sadly they don’t make music shows like this anymore. At the time it was 20 years after his death, I feel a bit old now. Some brilliant performances. Always thought it was a shame Liam didn’t get involved on the night and sing a tune, he speaks so highly of Lennon but then doesn’t get involved in the show …apart from drinking heavily by the looks of it!

I think it is the GMEX soundcheck because I can hear the Danelectro Cool Cat chorus effect on his guitar which is the signature sound of this gig and what makes Stay Young guitar solos sound so good. Bottom most pedal in this screengrab www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/292945150764163925/

I'm sorry everyone I don't use the forums at all so I'm not being rude when I don't reply. I just stumbled across this thread, so it was nice to read all these comments. Hope you're all good. Watch out for an event announcement for June this year in Manchester www.bittersweethome.co.uk
