I may be higher on it than most, but it just hit home for me
Classic Noel sound? Maybe, but I think there's substance behind the style. The verse is great, lyrics are good enough and the chorus sticks. It is in the same ballpark as the likes of Wandering Star and We're On Our Way Now but you can hear more work went into it and it sounds more complete.
Do I hope to get a more varied record and a couple of tunes that surprise me? Yes, can't deny that, but I'll happily enjoy my small dose of "Noel can write this in his sleep"-kinda tunes if they're as good as I feel this is
