Ever since the Right Stuff was released, I wanted Noel to introduce even more female vocals. That was the closest we got to a female lead on a NGHFB track. I sort of got my wish with the live band expanding to include Jess, Ysee, Chartotte, and the Roxy Girls. I thought the live version of The Right Stuff was sublime as a Ysee/Jess duet only slightly ruined by the small part that Noel sings (and I normally like his singing). I like the way the female voices blend on Evil Flower as well.
I recently converted from a Eurythmic hater to Eurythmics admirer. I know Noel doesn't like them but that's irrelevant. I discovered this song Missionary Man. Imagine for a second that this song was not Eurhythmics but released as NGHFB with the vocals by Jess and Ysee instead of Annie Lennox and Joniece Jameson. The link to the song is below. I think this song is fantastic, the production is great, the harmonica drives the song. If this was actually a NGHFB release, I would have been ecstatic, regardless of the fact that Noel didn't sing on it (as long as he was the writer as in this hypothetical case). If you don't like this song, pick any other song with a female lead that you do love.
I think expanding the sound even further to different singers would be great. I doubt he would do it but he's closer to doing it than he was 10 years ago. Would you be ok with NGHFB having songs sung by other singers as long as they were good songs and written by Noel?

I'd be fine with it and I enjoy female vocals quite a bit. I'm hoping Noel continues to expand his sound however he can. They're his records, so if he wants to I'm sure he'll do it. It's good to be free, as they say. Even some duets ala Acquiesce/Let There Be Love would be great too.
Only issue I see is Noel records mostly by himself in his studio with his normal crew and not with his touring band. Doesn't mean it can't happen, obviously, but if they're not hanging around they're less likely to be used or even just be there to try something and see if it works. But they also have their own projects to be working on of course.
On that note, I'd love for him to do a touring band record at some point. But that probably costs more money than one would imagine. But why not redo that CD of oasis songs he found with the full band? Of course, haven't heard the tunes but in my head it sounds like a good idea.

It doesn't have to be the touring band or the Roxy Girls but if he brought in other singers to fit a track I think that would be really interesting.

At first I thought "Why should we be OK with it?" and then I thought about about and I have to admit I wouldn't be. To have them sing WITH Noel à la The Right Stuff or Be Careful What You Wish For or an instrumental like Fort Knox, yes. But a whole track without Noel singing, I don't think I'd like that (unless it's Liam of course ha ha ha!) I love their voices and I love the band as it is now. Ysee is cool as fuck, he voice is amazing and the fact that she sings The Right Stuff almost by herself live, is awesome. But on a record, a full song, I don't think I'd like it as much.
