Rubbish just like is last album.how does he go from writing great songs to writing total shit I couldn't agree more. I'm actually blown away by how bad it is. The production, the drums, the vocals, the lyrics, the video.. the whole thing is an absolute mess and extremely forgettable. I think I will only listen to it again just to continue to dissect how poor of an effort it is. I was thinking when I last loved a Noel penned song. I mean Loved it. Truth. First 2 songs on Dig Out your Soul. Yikes.

Good news for Noel is the wider world appears to love the song. Although doubt he cares either way : ) That’s his biggest issue. He is a lazy, entitled rich guy who thinks he’s cool. But he’s just a jerk. And I met him in 2001 and he was a total jerk. He really isn’t a good guy. At all And it shows in his music.

5 years for a cellphone ringtone drumbeat, horrible vocal and uneventful lyrics. 2 outta 10 and that is only because of Marrs guitar which isn't anything special on this either. Yes, lazy Noel hasn't given us anything new for the past five years. 01. Come On Outside 02. This Is The Place 03. Black Star Dancing 04. Rattling Rose 05. Evil Flower 06. Just One Kiss 07. A Dream Is All I Need To Get By 08. Wandering Star 09. We're Gonna Get There In The End 10. Blue Moon Rising 11. Not Over Yet 12. Sail On 13. Valentine's Day 14. We're On Our Way Now 15. Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone 16. Flying On The Ground 17. The World Keeps Turning (live) 18. Like Crying (live) 19. The Mighty Quinn (live) 20. You Ain't Going Nowhere (live)

Liam has his off days also, guess we all do. Not sure what you mean by it shows in his music.

He's went all Bowie. Not in a good way either. Love the bass and lyrics on this but doesn't grab me at all. 6/10

4/10. Like the "vibe" of the song, just think the chorus is very weak. Not a big enough hook anywhere. It doesn't go anywhere. Pretty naff for such a long wait Noel's put out four new solo songs in the last 18 months so it's not been a long wait for a song at all. It's been a long wait for an album, of course, but this isn't the album.

The melodic twist into the chorus is fantastic, but then the tune doesn't continue into something new; it just repeats the twist melody and then calms back down with the "So, get your head down pretty boy..." bit. Reminds me of Fade In/Out in that respect; a lot of great vibes, some good melodic turns, but ultimately the song-writing is too thin to go past being an enjoyable experience and become a genuinely great track. I'm whelmed, to be honest. It's okay. It's fine. It works well enough to merit a release, I suppose, but compared to the trailer for WBTM and then the colour-bomb of Holy Mountain, this is a very unexciting release. It's definitely a strange choice for a lead single. It's a decent song, just feel it lacks something but, as ever, it's pretty catchy even without a huge chorus.

Better every listen, just had another. Prefer this to FOTG or WOOWN. Think it’s better than anything on the EP’s outside of TITP.

Sounds alright to me to be honest, decent Noel solo effort. The video on the other hand is not doing the song any favours. [br Reeks of a furter attempt to divest himself of the 'parka monkeys' who he see's as beneath him.Cos he hangs around with likes of Brand and has a French woman playing scissors in his band-who offers absoloutely nothing to the overall sound. It's not edgy-getting a little boring now.Now if Noel had dragged up himself ala his new hero Bowie that wouldve been edgier.Would music critics salivate over Bowie quite so much if he hadn't dabbled in androgeny? They seem to really get off on that facet of his persona. Now the uber lad joins the party-late in the day and done to death as it's become.

Isn't this song about transexuals? I hope so, then it will drive away the section of the fanbase who are knuckle dragging yobbos for good.

About 24 hours after its release and this song is definitely growing on me. The chorus could be better, but I love Marr's guitar work and Noel's lyrical/vocal approach.
