I've been trying to track down ticket stubs for their 1/15/1996 show in Bielefeld, as the early January '96 shows seem to have been from make-up performances from canceled shows in November '95. I think all of the January shows were make ups, but haven't been able to track down Bielefeld or Munich ticket stubs. The Munich show meant for 1/12/1996 was rescheduled for March 27th, despite a couple places saying they played that day. I think Liams' vocal issues on the 10th definitely sidelined him for a bit before returning at the Berlin show. I haven't put Munich on the list yet because I believe their was a previous date, perhaps in November. On a side-note, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has posted and commented with information about canceled gigs. Closing in on 100 canceled/rescheduled/walkout gigs. Feeling like we're slowly finding missing pieces to a very large puzzle, and you start to realize how hectic their schedule was.

Noel, Liam and Bonehead were interviewed before it by MTV: There was also a video of Noel playing D'You Know What I Mean? by himself off to the side of the stage during the sound check for that gig:

So one of the main areas I wanted to research was the gigs they missed after Noel left in September in 1994, and after searching for anything about the Casbah gig to get a lead, I think I have. There's a wordpress website (link: oasisgigs.wordpress.com/ ) that has a list of every Oasis gig from 1994-2000, but it also includes dates that were listed from September 30th to October 13th, 9 gigs in total. The list's first three gigs are: 09/30/1994 - San Diego, Casbah 10/01/1994 - Tempe, Boston’s Bar and Grille (Tempe is between downtown Phoenix and Mesa) 10/03/1994 - Salt Lake City, The Bar and Grill These gigs align with Tony's book, and what oasisunited also commented. Another thing I would like to add that would seem to further legitimize these dates is that oasisunited also stated Oasis were indeed in Austin, Texas to record. It also just happens that the website lists dates for Dallas and Austin on the 6th and 8th of October, where by now Oasis would've been. The locations of these gigs are Trees and Liberty Lunch, which are both gigs Oasis would later play in February 1995 (though the location of the Dallas gig would change from Trees to Deep Ellum Live, two different clubs with in the Deep Ellum district). Another gig mentioned on the list is the Mercury Café in Denver on 10/4/1994. While Oasis came back to Denver in February of 1995, they did not play at the Mercury Café. Which brings me to another theory within this long post: The reason the Japanese dates in February were canceled and set back to August 1995, was that all these gigs were canceled, and these are all makeup dates. From February 4th to February 12th, the gigs they played at were all in cities that had dates canceled in 1994. Now, it's possible that Im stretching too thin, but its not impossible. The only venue I'm having trouble actually locating is the final gig within this long list. On 10/12/1994, Oasis were supposed to play at The Bottom Line in Springfield. I've had trouble finding anything about where this club even is. The previous date listed, 10/11/1994 was in Lawrence, Kansas at The Bottleneck, so I would assume that the location is somewhere in the Midwest. However, most of my findings have drawn me to the Bottom Line in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. There is a Springfield, Missouri and Springfield, Illinois, but so far, nothing. To get to the point, I found a list of gigs that look to be the gigs that I'm searching for, as demonstrated by the validity of the gigs from other forum members and Tony's book, but I'm having trouble finding anything about them. I believe they are legit, but I would love to see a publication mentioning these gigs. Here's the list: 09/30/1994 - San Diego, Casbah 10/01/1994 - Tempe, Boston’s Bar and Grille 10/03/1994 - Salt Lake City, The Bar and Grill 10/04/1994 - Denver, Mercury Café 10/06/1994 - Dallas, Trees 10/08/1994 - Austin, Liberty Lunch 10/10/1994 - University City (within St. Louis metro), Cicero's 10/11/1994 - Lawrence (Just west of Kansas City), The Bottleneck 10/12/1994 - Springfield(?), The Bottom Line

One suggestion for the Springfield gig would be to see if you can find anything in the university newspapers from those two cities (I believe that both have a University of X for each state in those respective cities). It's totally possible that it was a university bar that has changed names or doesn't exist anymore. My guess would be that Springfield, IL makes more sense as when they resumed touring, they were in Minnesota. Going from Kansas City to Springfield, MO would be heading south, not north towards Minnesota. Just a guess, but tours typically don't tend to back track, especially for an early career band when money is tight.

An extremely old poster from March 1994 advertising the new single Oasis listed multiple dates from March 23rd to April 13th. One of those dates was at the Adelphi in Hull on April 10th.
From a description of the poster from a website selling it, the original date was canceled, and was later made up on April 29th, and by then, people were obsessed with Supersonic.

Turns out the original Standing On The Shoulder of Giants USA tour featured a date in Charlotte between the Patriot Center and Music Midtown Festival. The show was never played, and there was no reason of the cancelation as far as I know and have looked. So I checked Travis shows because they toured with Oasis in April and early May and I found nothing that mentions the Charlotte show. The old Oasis group threads from the Google database has a few people complaining about how the Charlotte gig just disappeared from ticket master and Oasis' website, but that's it. So, for now, it'll be on the main list. If anyone is curious, they can read some old articles below. MTV News article about the USA tour from early February: www.mtv.com/news/22k0ks/oasis-to-launch-north-american-invasionMTV News article about Travis' relationship with Oasis and tour dates: www.mtv.com/news/pf4n28/travis-talks-about-landing-oasis-tourGoogle Group database with searches mentioning Ovens Auditorium, the location of the venue: groups.google.com/g/alt.music.oasis/search?q=Ovens%20Auditorium

According to a promo sticker you can see on the French CD of SOTSG when it's still sealed, the band was supposed to play in Marseille (Dock des Suds) on May 21st 2000. I think this date was reschudeled afterward to June 19th in a another venue in Marseille (le Dôme). This sticker also mentions a second planned date in Paris on May 24. Both Paris shows (May 23 and May 24) were initially supposed to be in "Le Zénith" and not in Bercy.

Small updates because I sometimes add things without telling people The info file for the Milwaukee gig in 1996 that claims the gig was postponed for some reason. I have confirmed that it was supposed to be on the 29th of February but for one reason or another, was postponed to March 1st. I found an Oasis magazine back that has the French dates of 9/29 for the Bercy in Paris and Bordeaux for 10/4 in 1996. The Bordeaux gig was originally on April 4th, which they canceled just hours before getting on stage. It seems for now they are the only dates in France post the September split. I also included the dates I found on the Oasis gig website that seem to be right dates for the shows that were canceled when Noel left after the Whiskey a Go-Go gig, just to make it easier for people who get curious. I've left some space with a "-" as a precaution.

Oasis and REM touring together. I just can't imagine it. I wonder what was behind the cancellations?
True enough, there's a video of Michael Stipe calling them 'boneheads' (not in reference to our one, but a general insult) and a video of Noel saying words to the effect of "the drummer, guitarist and bass player are all great. The blue stripe can do one" (reference to when Stipe had blue facepaint across his eyes). The friction is obviously between Oasis and Stipe.
These are two of my favourite bands, but I have heard that Stipe is a bit of a diva. I'd err in the favour of the Gallaghers here.

Yeah, it's quite a list once you account for all the infighting between the Gallagher's. Ironically, most of these gigs are canceled because of in-band fighting. They can probably account for almost 40 gigs being canceled because of it.

jezza2 I was doing some other research and I think that: is the infamous one that they ended up cancelling because Blur was also playing in Bournemouth that night and planned to project a #1 light on the International Centre. Oasis was concerned that one of their fans would hurt a Blur concert goer: Blur played the Showbar in Bournemouth on that date. It's unclear if Oasis cancelled that one gig first, then the rest of the tour, but I think it's safe to annotate that one as "cancelled over security concerns".

The chart battle for number one occurs on August 20 (winner announced). According to Paolo Hewitt in Getting High, as of September 8th, the band members were aware of Guigsy's state after the trip he took to Paris with Liam at the beginning of the month. The band announces the cancellation of those September dates on September 12 as part of the press release about Guigsy. This makes me wonder if they had announced the Bournemouth cancellation some time in those two weeks between the end of the chart battle and the incident in Paris that lead Guigsy to quit. Maybe they just never announced it and used the Guigsy situation as cover for it.

I believe this should answer my question for which gig did they support REM at McAlpine Stadium. According to this article from NME, it was only the 25th of August. It also shows off dates for the eventual delayed early U.K. gigs.

With a bunch of tour itineraries popping up on Ebay and a lot have photos of the gigs, I've taken the liberty to streamline what I can with the help of those itineraries
WHAT HAS CHANGED:
2000: Confirmed 5/23/2000 date in Paris at BERCY instead of Le Zenith. Added 06/13/2000 - Hamburg, Sporthalle (Would've NEVER known this unless we had the itinerary) Added 05/21/2000 - Marseille, Dock Des Suds
2002: Made the Bremen and Stuttgart dates their own separate dates: 09/19/2002 - Bremen, Pier 2 (Rescheduled for December 5th (reason unknown) but was officially cancelled post Munich brawl) 09/20/2002 - Stuttgart, Messe B (Rescheduled for November 28th (reason unknown))
Hopefully more to come!

After all this time I never even bothered adding the most famous cancelled gig for Oasis, the Ferry Incident. With the photo of Noel standing next to a pole advertising gigs, you can see on the far left of the pole you can barely read out 18 and Feb. In Getting High, Paolo mentions the Paradiso being the location of this gig. I believe other places have also backed this up as well.

I added some more details on this thread: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/83015/oasis-ferry-amsterdam-1994. The key bits are that Phil Smith says in Supersonic that it was a Thursday over night ferry, so we know the gig was on a Friday. The picture above was taken on the 19th (a Saturday), which would confirm what the poster shows -- the gig was supposed to be on the 18th.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a long post so bear with me. I was looking for any posters regarding gigs that actually happened (specifically the Liberty Lunch gig in Austin) and I found a poster for Oasis with The Verve on September 23rd at the Eriksdalshallen in Stockholm. Obviously, they never played there, so I googled "Oasis Eriksdalshallen" and not only did I find a ticket for that gig, but an early tour shirt for their European tour in October and November, and my god, there are more dates than I could have ever imagined. Poster for the gig at the Eriksdalshallen with The Verve:www.sweconpos.com/posters/oasis95.jpgTicket for the September gig:I'm taking this shirt as legit because there are other dates on that shirt that I've found before this shirt. I've seen two different shirts that have the same dates on them. The shirt in question:So this is my working theory: Guigsy leaving the band had a multi-wave affect. Circle back to the poster, where the September gigs would've taken place, but Guigsy leaving pushed these gigs back to October. Which means it is entirely plausible that many of these gigs were rescheduled twice.
We see the Eriksdalshallen, which is in Stockholm. It's a small capacity gig of about 1,800. Later in November, Oasis played in Stockholm at Annexet. Just like the Copenhagen gig that was supposed to happen on the 29th of October, it is possible that these gigs would eventually turn into Annexet (November 20th) and K.B. Hallen (November 24th). These gigs never materialized because Guigsy wasn't back yet, and Scott McLeod took off in mid-October. This in turn would continue to push already scheduled gigs back further, which makes sense, as the gigs that were pushed back just happened to be Edinburgh and Whitely Bay, which fall on the 24th and 25th. Guigsy comes back in time for Brussels, Earl's Court and Paris. Seems fine, but the Utrect and Berlin gigs were rescheduled. I would attribute these to Liams voice. Skip to the final three dates on the shirt: Birmingham, Cardiff and Sheffield on the 28th, 29th and 30th respectfully. Oasis' performance on Jools Holland for Round Are Way, Wonderwall, and Cum On Feel The Noize, was performed on the 28th of November. Noel mentions that Liam lost his voice, and on the 29th and 30th, Noel is opening for Paul Weller at Brixton Academy in London. I can only assume these gigs were canceled to help Liam's voice heal. When we rejoin Oasis on the 2nd of December in Seattle, his voice is noticeably more gravely. So if anyone has any information about tickets or posters for any of these gigs just for more confirmation, drop 'em here! These gigs are going to be added to the now very long list for 1995:09-23-1995 - Stockholm, Eriksdalshallen (Rescheduled for October 27th, but was rescheduled again) 10-27-1995 - Stockholm, Eriksdalshallen (Rescheduled as Guigsy had not returned, possibly moved to the bigger Annexet on November 20th) 10-29-1995 - Copenhagen (Guigsy had not returned yet. It is possible there was a previous date, possibly moved to the K.B. Hallen on November 24th) 11-28-1995 - Birmingham (Liam lost his voice) 11-29-1995 - Cardiff (Liam lost his voice) 11-30-1995 - Sheffield (Liam lost his voice)

While looking for anything regarding the canceled Copenhagen gig for September of 1995, I stumbled upon a Japanese poster for Oasis, advertising gigs for the Liquid Room for February 16th and 17th of 1995. What were slowly starting to build now is an entirely abandoned Japanese tour in February of 1995 which had to be rescheduled because of the Whiskey a Go-Go gig. Below those dates, there are dates advertising Club Chitta, a gig that was confirmed thanks to The Thieving Magpie's poster which was posted early in this thread. We also see dates that started to advertise reservation dates for tickets, which was mid December. Now these dates will be added to the list: 02/16/1995 - Tokyo, Liquid Room 02/17/1995 - Tokyo, Liquid Room
