Well between the breakup of Oasis and 2017, he was actually lovely, funny and still a little cocky in interviews. Off the top of my head, the interviews with Gay Byrnes, Graham Norton, Mark Lawson, Alan Carr or the Huffington Post were all really enjoyable. The last interviews I saw where he like that were in late 2017. Then he was mostly an arrogant prick, except maybe Skavlan, the Morning Glory fan questions and Reel Stories. So I don't know what got into him and I hope it's a phase. Because he gets on my nerves now for the first time in 30 years. i absolutely agree. and some of my favorite interviews with him were early NGHFB era. it seems like something happened in the last few years with him. and honestly i hope he's ok, because it doesn't seem like he is. he seems unhappy. you don't act like that if you're not. I never thought of that last part but I agree, I hope he's OK too.

he makes jabs at his fans now too. i don't resonate much with him anymore. Agree totally. I think he misjudged it and thought he didn't need Oasis fans cos he'd pick up news ones and that a big part of Oasis fans would go with him whatever he did or said.
By alienating them with his jibes 'parka monkeys etc' he just did Liam a favour.
Some might say it's part of a big 15 year masterplan where Liam keeps the faithful and Noel breaks new ground Oasis wouldn't have been able to, and then when they get back together it'd be even bigger than ever.
I just don't see Noel ever doing 'Oasis' with Liam from a position of weakness. wouldn't happen.
he'd have to be the one letting a begging Liam back in, and Liam's even reigned that in lately.

Also it's not just a magic tap that you turn back on. Can Noel still write decent Oasis songs these days?

It's been a long time coming but Noel has finally given a new interview and made a public appearance at a Bowie movie screening. It's been a quiet summer for Noel watchers-starved of content save a few holiday snaps, the much vaunted wonderwall singalong and a story about him floggin a motor. And some guitar or other.
In the Sky interview he was on the predicatably safe ground of lionising David Bowie. What can anyone say about Bowie that hasn't been said a million times before-apparently he was good.
How long before that annoyance Morgan temps him back onto his vacuos podcast to show off his famous mate. He's not gonna give up his new meal ticket easily now that Russel Brand has managed to surgically remove him from his backside...

Actually I do enjoy bitta Noel banter(not Morgan's)-and theres been precious little of it of late.
I'm just interested in seeing how he re-enrters the media fray after Glasonbury. We're well into September and this is the first time he's said dick to a media outlet-which is quite a while for someone who enjoys holding forth as much as he does.

Yeah I agree with you and it'll be interesting to see if he gets asked about the Glastonbury incident.
