I state that I like the new album, but I ask you a question. Only I find the sound quality bad? It appears that the songs have been wrapped in a foil bag and the vocals sound as though it is emitted from inside a plastic tube. Already from the days of Oasis' DBTT I felt this feeling a lot ... then it expanded in the following records up to the solo careers. Even with Noel solo it happened, but I don't follow him very much. Why are any other band's records recorded with more "open" sounds, and well equalized and on Gallagher records they often go overboard with too much production drowning out every single sound? . On some songs, in particular, if you turn up the volume, the sound becomes exhausted and it is not a problem with the speakers. For example the live sounds have been much better. In the current case in the Rockfield live the new songs sound much better than the record. The voice is finally "open" and so are the sounds of each instrument. The songs sound like they are singing in front of you with no filters or hindrances. On the records it sounds like they are playing in a glass jar and you are listening to it out of it. I am convinced that an entire record recorded as if they were playing a normal studio session (similar to live at Rockfield) can produce far superior sound than recorded on a disc.
Let me know what you think about it

part of what you're describing is the over of compression/limiting pushed way up. Although there's a move towards releasing music with a bigger dynamic range (ie less compressed and limited) both Liam and noel's stuff still bucks this trend and follows the Oasis theme of making the releases 'louder than everyone else's'.
in the old days if you wanted it louder you turned the volume up, but now, like you say, playing highly processed music at louder volume can literally physically make the ears 'tired'.
this 'loudness' is something that is added at the mastering stage and some releases are being masterd once for streaming and with less limiting for vinyl. Not sure if this applies to liams stuff as I haven't had any on record.

I've found the sound quality generally quite pleasing. The mixing on the other hand is questionable.
More power is brilliant for instance. But when the heavy guitars kick in, the instrumental gets really really quiet.

The previous two records were much more suffering from loudness
This one is ok, although level is quite weird from one to another that I’ve literally have to up or down the volume button.
It’s much better than WMWN which is abysmal to listen to. Like real pain on shockwave, one of us (this one is atrocious) or be still and the river for instance.
On this one the worst is EE , no surprise since it’s Kurstin + lead single . Mastered to sound bombastic on shitty speakers. and the ending of more power
I’d say it depends what kind of stuff youre listening to with as well, CD, stream, device, headphones or speakers.
Good sign is that it sounds good on airpod max which will kill any badly mastered or mixed record.
