Well, there have been hints at a sequel for a while now particularly after the Apple interview. But on Noel's latest Fan Questions video he makes it very clear that David Holmes is still working on tracks from those sessions and a lot of it is 'on it's way to being finished'.
I wasn't a huge fan of WBTM originally, but it's grown on me immensely so I'm beyond excited for the new album.
There are snippets of unreleased songs in the documentary that we may get to hear in full some day.
With Noel working on his own album and David Holmes deep into WBTM2 (for lack of an actual name), it's safe to say we have a few exciting years ahead of us!
2:26 for the WBTM bit

Didn't know he thought of Zak Starkey this highly. Any drummer he could've chosen and he went for him. Interesting.

Especially now that he has had Chris in his band for quite some time now. But I do remember Noel saying in an interview around the time DOYS was released that he was really gutted Zak had to leave the band before the tour. The feeling was apparently mutual: "Liam, Noel, Gem and Andy are some of the smartest musicians I've ever met," he continued. "In fact, they're the most inspiring band I've ever worked with. I played with Oasis for four years and literally spent every day crying with laughter. Those lads are on it and that's why they're fucking massive." (source)

Apart from being mates or not having animosity ... Zak is also just a really good drummer.
I find it funny that people are so shocked. I know he gets bashed in these parts because people didn't love what he did with Oasis, which is fair, but in general Zak has serious technical skills, can play an eclectic variety of musical styles, and then brings his own flair and a truly rare sense of grandness. That special mix is not so easy to find, especially in someone you might actually like as well.

Fair enough. For me, Oasis drummers ranked - Whitey, Chris, Zak, Tony. Whitey and Chris are practically equal but Whitey takes it. Zak is a good drummer but I just didn’t think his drumming stylistically fit Oasis. And then we have Tony, whom with his book, come off a twat. I really do like Chris, though - perfect replica of Whitey.

Wish we could have heard Chris in studio (and no Beady Eye doesn't count, does it even exist when nobody listened to it?) but I'd think we'd probably have a tight one between him and Whitey.

Oh absolutely, he's done a great job with The Who and those are so big shoes to fill and he's appreciated in the business for a reason I don't think he really fit Oasis, but that doesn't take anything away from him

Did he name The Coral as one of the three most important influences in his solo career or did I mishear the thrd name(I'm not a native english speaker)?
I was not expecting that. You can hear some echoes of The Coral at some songs of the EPs, but I would not say it's that strong

That's a cool news. Maybe 2022 we will have two records : Noel's in may for festivals, something a bit more traditionnal, and in the fall Who Built The Moon 2.
That's a good plan.

Mind you, I never knew that Noel rated Zac so highly either. But I haven't watched this video, it's interesting though even if they are still friends.

What was even the reason zac left the band ? DOYS your clashes with his duties with The Who …curious given The Who didn’t do that much in the DOYS ‘08-‘09 era (30 shows). And The Who did actually offer to make him a full member in ‘06, which he turned down. Zak is a bit of a mystery on that front. But he’s the right drummer for The Who and the wrong drummer (live, anyway) for Oasis, so everyone ended up in the right place at the end.

I fucking adore Zak and his playing. I am a drummer myself and he funnily was the first kind of "idol" I had in my life. Only because of his drumming in The Who which I saw two times, 06 and 07. Amazing gigs. I also think that, in comparison, Chris was the better drummer for Oasis but I still love the somehow simple but extremely heavy sound that Zak brought to the gigs. He was also the very first person I thought of when I knew Noel was gonna put together a new band after the Oasis split. So I am happy and curios what is gonna happen in the future.
