I saw in the other thread someone asked about who is behind the Sons of the Desert Remix of Blue Moon Rising. I don't think there was an answer and there are no liner notes.
I have a theory that this is Noel and his plan is to use this 'Sons of the Desert' project to remix other artists. Here is why
1. He is very much into remixes now 2. Didn't Paul Weller have something similar (sine of 4) and James Skelly has Skeleton Key 3. There were rumors that when Bonehead and Guigsy left, oasis was going to be renamed Sons of the Stage 4. oasis is obviously related to a desert. 5. If it was someone of note remixing it, Noel probably would want it known.
That's my theory (unless it's already been confirmed who it is)

I don't know and care how much of this might be true, I just really like this theory.

Didn't Noel want to change (or at least considered changing) the band's name from Oasis to Sons of the Stage (the World of Twist song) after he joined the band? Either way, we definitely know that he and Liam were into the song, so it wouldn't be surprising that he finally found a way to use the name, especially since Beady Eye already covered the actual song.

The thought had crossed my mind.
The plural implies another Oasis member could have been involved with him. Gem? Chris?

They thought they might have had to change their name (think it was because of their American deal) because there was another band called oasis once upon a time so they picked Sons of the Stage but that never became a reality in the end.

As I remember it from Paulo Hewitt’s book it was Liam who wanted to do this at the peak of Oasis’s fame mid Be Here Now tour. “Split up” then release their next album under the Sons Of The Stage name as a way of avoiding all the Oasis media attention and hype. I can't ever imagine Oasis calling themselves Sons Of The Stage and I'm glad that they didn't in the end and stuck with their Oasis name. However, I can understand that they might have had to change their name in America due to another band being called Oasis.

Another theory: Chris Sharrock and/or Gem’s kids?
Jay Sharrock was in Youth of the Apocalypse who Noel guested with. He’s been in lots of other bands in the same circles too: The Sand Band, Miles Kane, Weller, The SLP.
