Just went to put a playlist together on Spotify, and I noticed these tunes are missing:
- A Simple Game of Genius (1st LP bonus track)
- The Good Rebel (b-side)
- Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me (b-side)
- We're Gonna Get There In The End (demo)
Has it ever been mentioned why these are absent? Almost seems like an oversight for the 'first album' stuff, as I know Noel was a bit of a late adopter of music streaming. For the later albums we have bonus tracks/b-sides/demos, so it's not like there's any particular reason to leave them off there...
Does anyone have an in with the label to nudge them to add them on there? Seems a shame to have to faff about with playlists elsewhere because of these strange omissions?

In Spotify Mexico we don't have any album 1 b-side (only The Good Rebel), neither A Simple Game of Genius and We're Gonna Get There In the End (demo)

Simple game of genius and Good Rebel is on spotify. The two other ones are not. Weird, where are you? Neither of those are available in the UK as far as I can see! Makes the whole thing even stranger... |

It's not that uncommon with Spotify tbh, different countries get different stuff for some reason
Here in Italy there are a couple of SOTSOG singles missing as well as the tracks mentioned here
Noel was actually asked about this on one of Matt's podcast but obviously he had no idea

Makes the whole thing even stranger... Norway. It’s a bit weird it’s different for each country. Been missing a lot of Oasis b-sides here until recently. First Beady Eye album still missing...annoys me. |

The 3 HFB1 bonus tracks disappeared from Apple Music Canada a couple years back and reappeared around the time of the EPs. Probably a licensing thing. I'm sure they'll be back eventually.

On Spotify Brazil we have The Good Rebel and A Simple Game of Genius, if you can't find on the album you find on the search.
Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me isn't on any streaming service, only as video on YouTube.

The B-sides, the a-sides are there as album tracks They added a few of them recently but if I remember correctly Who Feels Love's still missing and maybe another one |

This is why I buy every single song on iTunes and/or rip from physical media. Songs just suddenly disappear from all these streaming platforms and never to be heard from again.

I agree. I also store a large collection of physical and iTunes rips on my computer, but I still question stuff like that. I do enjoy the convenience of Spotify on the go and some of these ommissions just strike me as weird.

Just stopped at unique songs. I Believe In All is a unique song. It was released in the UK, not just Japan, so it should be on there along with the whole DOYS bonus disc. OP was counting demos. There are only a few officially released demos, live versions, alt versions and remixes… it is far from an infinite list. And that AA remix is a monster, it’s criminal it’s not on there IMO. BWTB only being on an NCIS soundtrack rather than the proper original Oasis release is ridiculous 🙃 |
