Seriously though, what about those extremely promising poll numbers? If people thought it was off in 2016, then this is a new level of off. There's been some talk about Trump supporters fucking with pollsters by saying they're voting for Biden, and while that doesn't seem to make up for all those numbers... what other reasonable explenation is there? (Or the remaining mail in ballots will be like 98% for Biden and we all will look silly for having worried at all) It looks as if it's going to turn out to be quite comfortable for Biden now it's mainly just mail-in votes left and not far off what the polls were saying. If Trump deserves any credit it is that he got turnout amongst his followers to be very high on the day. It looks like the nightmare is over, touch wood. At least until he decides to run next time. Trump can't run next time. It's over for him.

Trump can't run next time. It's over for him. This is incorrect. Since he only served one term, he can run again. It's just rare for a one-term president to run again. But it has happened. Grover Cleveland served non-consecutive terms and Teddy Roosevelt did run under the Bull Moose party. But legally, it is possible.

No Biden landslide, no Blue Wave.
GOP keeps Senate, gains in the House. So expect more congressional gridlock. And my boy Mitch McConnell remains Senate Majority Speaker.
So even if Biden ends up the winner, this was a shocking night for the Dems.
Trump greatly over performaned. Polls were embarrassingly and historically wrong - to a scale exponentially bigger than 2016.

But this is going to be litigated in the court, so no actual answer for quite some time...

Give it a rest, your kiddy fiddling hero is going to lose after four years of you carping on about him winning a historic second term. Pretty embarrassing that he only got one term. And the next four years you’re going to have eat humble pie while you revert back to the moderate Republicans who despised him.

No court packing, no green new deal, etc. The Biden/Harris administration will go down as the most underwhelming administration in quite sometime. Because of how elections work, I’d expect Republicans to win the 2022 midterms, and then the 2024 presidency. Come prepared with intelligence next time.

And for what it’s worth, a divided government is the best possible outcome for the nation generally - that’s the basis of the founding of the United States. This is exactly how the US was intended to be.
Americans prefer a divided government - this is why it’s rare for downtickets.

Who you just got wrecked by. You may want to rethink your logic. 😂 Your predictions aren't original, I think most folk can see how volatile the electorate is that that prediction isn't a surprise. But for the last four years, you were screaming 'revolution' from the roof tops like one of those MAGA schizo hat fucks. For a one term president. Hilarious.

Who you just got wrecked by. You may want to rethink your logic. 😂 The other thing I've never quite understood with you is how you continue to back him when real Republicans rejected him. How can you call yourself a Bush, McCain or Romney supporter by supporting Trump? Because those three certainly didn't see it that way. Even the Lincoln Project Twitter page, run by former Bush aide, is run primarily to hound Trump out the White House. You can celebrate a Republican senate for all you like - why I don't know because you threw all your real Republican principles away by supporting Trump.

You celebrate your country being stuck for 4 or maybe 8 years in a time were every country in the world needs to take action to shape how society should look like in the future regarding globalization, automation and climate change. This is so utterly stupid. I always thought you were just a troll but judging by your comments right now you are clearly an uneducated, backwards thinking idiot. Maybe go and try to find an outside perspective or at the very least do the world a favor and always wear a condom.

It's certainly been a close battle from what I read on the BBC news pages. Mind you, I read on there yesterday that it had been a really high turn out. It's absolutely typical of Trump to say that the results so far are fraud though. It's only what I would expect him to say. I know that there's still a lot of votes to be counted yet but hopefully America have seen sence and got rid of the hateful Trump. But we shall see as I won't celebrate just yet just incase Trump wins.

A bit off topic but I can't understand why Twitter hasn't banned Trump yet for some of his comments. I know that they do hide them but surely if he's breaking their rules then he should be banned.

So apparently Biden has already gotten the most votes of any presidential candidate ever, with Trump in second place. Quite the paradox since these were two of the weakest candidates each party has come up with in quite some time, but the circumstances really turned it into something unique instead.

You’re going to be the first tech giant to literally embrace censorship - the very antithesis of the United States? Yeah, that would be a good move... It’s already gone too far...

‘Fact’ Checkers? lol Hate Speech? lol What a generation of babies. all tech giants have already quietly embraced censorship and if you don't believe that to be true, you aren't paying attention. removing his account won't do any good but world leaders just shouldn't use twitter or anything like it in the context that trump does.

Maybe Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will run in 2024. Or better yet, Nina Turner. The latter would certainly have my vote.
