Interesting details...
Two outlaws, Harley and Izzy, cross paths and fall in love in the American South-West as they make their way to the Salton Sea to distribute the ashes of Izzy's father. ***Stranded On The Earth requires viewer participation. In order to fully enjoy this film you must first purchase Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds album entitled Who Built The Moon? Once you have done this simply cue the tracks to the time codes provided. There are also visual cues which flash in the film. The time code matches the first frame of the visual cue ie; START TRACK "Fort Knox".
02:27:02 - Fort Knox 10:35:23 - Keep On Reaching 15:57:15 - She Taught Me How To Fly 22:50:07 - Be Careful What You Wish For 29:00:23 - If Love Is The Law 32:18:01 - Dead In The Water (***this is a live version which is not on the album. Direct message me for link to live track) 38:08:09 - Holy Mountain 42:35:10 - End Credits

Did we know there was a movie being made with the album as soundtrack? Yes. It was both mentioned by Noel at the time in interviews that he had a "friend" who wanted to turn WBTM into a movie and was later mentioned by Mike Bruce himself. Most of these videos leaked online a while back and have been posted on this forum from time to time. This has been in the works since early 2018.

Why not? Is there no sound because they don't have the legal rights to use Noel's music? Why do I need to send them a message to get a live version of Dead In The Water? Why isn't it included in the purchased video bundle? Why is there no mention of this on Noel's official website? I'm happy to pay to get a proper copy but this is simply way too complicated. I'm not paying that sort of money for some music videos where I have to cue up my own sound. I'd say more but from a legal point of view I think it's best to keep my suspicions to myself.

Inb4 its aprils fools day joke or something likw that. Also the price was 10 bucks this mornin(when I made the first post) but now its only 5. Edit The trailer has The Man Who Built The Moon. And now I want a music video of that. Shame it isnt in the film.

Inb4 its aprils fools day joke or something likw that. That is pretty funny - Noel spends considerable time and money on making of series of videos and then actually releases them! I should have known it was a joke.

I’ve been given this, not watched it so can’t confirm anything. I had a quick scan through, there is sound but silence when you are supposed to play a track?? Anyway you know where I am if you want it x
Edit: I now have the original “movie” including all the tracks so no remote coordination needed.

That's a nightmare, to press play to cue it up? Disaster

Watched this last night. It's simultaneously cringeworthy in some parts and quite cool in others. The desert landscapes do fit the music very well but I'm not so sure about the story. I'm glad I've seen it but I can understand why Noel axed the project in favour of the more retro looking videos that did come out. Also having other people's songs in between the main videos seemed odd and sure enough in the closing credits you can see the list of Noel songs that were supposed to have been included in the film originally!

What are those songs?!? Did you write to Mike Bruce to have that live Dead on the water?

I'm a bit confused by this. So the movie has no songs and you have to play the album simultaneously from your library to match the film?
And the Dead in the water version is different, but also not included in the film so you have to ask the director for it?
It's such a weird release, but I guess if I was involved in this project I'd rather have it release this way than have it gathering dust in a hard drive.

Hello everyone - I’ve just released a podcast episode with Mike Bruce where this whole situation is explained in full.
Basically they agreed it would be a whole film, but then Noel went cold on the project for reasons we still don’t know. Mike carried on and finished the thing but then Noel's team basically said they were moving on and it wasn’t going to get released.
Mike still wants to release it, but can’t include the NGHFB music without permission. Hence the plan is for it to be released for free, although without any of the music, with “press play now” cues where the songs should be.
Check out the episode in full on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and anywhere else you find podcasts - just search Oasis Podcast

I feel bad for him and everyone involved, it's like the AA situation is repeating again.

*Exactly* like Amorphous. I am a Noel fan but what in the world? It seems like he thinks better of ideas/gets cold feet/feels like it will make him look stupid and backtracks totally. And why not just tell the guy to stop working? Why let him carry on and not communicate?

I thought Brian Cannon also hinted at working with Noel 3-5 years ago too? I remember him dropping some hints that made me think he was working on something with Noel but I don't think anything ever emerged. Maybe I was reading him wrong.
