A good friend of mine in Manchester lost his dad and aunt by Covid-19 in 4 weeks time.
I can't stand anyone who says "all dead are elderly people and the people with overweight or complication anyway". They don't/didn't need to die if it's not Covid-19 FFS!

The thing is case's are rising every day and these tier lockdown's don't seem to be working. I know we don't want a national lockdown but it's probably what's needed at the moment even if it's just for a few weeks to try and stop the spread. I don't know what the answer is until a vaccine can be found.

The test and protect team called last night and extended the isolation period until the 5th of November... I have no symptoms so they won’t let me get a test however I’m not allowed outside in case I am a carrier. I know it’s all for the right reasons however it’s very frustrating being on your own, relaying on friends and family to shop for you etc and not be able to see any of them apart from video calls or out the window. I can understand how this effects so many peoples mental health, it’s very difficult. I hope everyone else is safe and well.

So we're on lockdown until November 9th I dont have a problem with it tbh. Just watch films, play games with your family etc. Its nothing, I do understand though that some people go insane staying indoors, I'm ok with it though

It's same as here - you can't have a test unless you have symptoms. There's not enough test, simply. I can understand how hard for you to relay on your friends and family, but they're happy to help you out, Jim! Stay home even how hard to be isolated for nearly 2 weeks. Play music (Oasis!), watch films, read books, whatever and we're all here whenever you need to talk to somebody even online. Stay safe and stay positive and get well soon!!!

Ours does every 2 weeks. Although I don’t support the political party which our Prime Minister belongs to, I must admit that he’s doing a good job.

Ours does every 2 weeks. Although I don’t support the political party which our Prime Minister belongs to, I must admit that he’s doing a good job. Ours don't! Nothing wrong with press conferences, but today, when other countries around us are announcing new rules, it's not helpful to do it like this, we were all glued to the screens during that press conference today expecting them to tell us the new policy and then, "oh well, we're gonna tell you *drumroll* Saturday!" WTF?!
I know how grave* the situation is and the government has my full support (I did not vote for ours either), but like that they are making rods for their own backs. Not. Helpful!
*My best friend tested positive, one day before we had planned to see each other. She just told me she was so sick a few days ago, she had to call an emergency doctor. She's feeling better now thankfully.
PS: Sorry, did not want to sound rude! I'm glad yours are doing a better job than ours!

Cases in the UK are going up even more in numbers than what they were before and what does the useless Government do? It just carrie's on with tougher rules with these stupid tier lockdown's which are clearly not working. We need a proper full lockdown now before it gets any worse than what it already is.

I read on the BBC news pages on red that the Covid is spreading faster than worst-case of scenario. It'll get worse and worse. I can't understand why the Government hasn't put us in a national lockdown yet.
