For the most part, since 2017, his vocals and melodies are flat and emotionless, in my opinion. It would’ve been unimaginable for me to say this prior to 2017, but I’ve only liked three songs in this entire era, with most of it being what I consider to be absolute shit. I think it's musically great, but the vocal is a bit lifeless. All I can hear is New Order with the strings off Running Up that Hill, which isn't a bad thing. |

Of the 3 dancy EP songs (Black Star, Place, Blue Moon), I think I like it least, but I also suspect I’d feel this way about whichever of them had come out third. They’re good tracks, but for the same reason that having Little By Little, Revolution Song, and Where Did It All Go Wrong all on the same album wouldn’t have worked, I’ve kind of had my fill of this particular theme.

Really, really poor. So bland and boring. I cannot believe that this is the same voice that once belted out Don't Look Back In Anger.

couple times was cool for songs but enuf already
sure glad i stream these days so don't feel conflicted about not buying half of these singles.

All down to opinions but I just don't like the comparisons to stuff from a totally different era
I'm glad he's not trying to rewrite songs which will never be matched and in turn seems to be developing (for lack of a better word).
It doesn't make it better or worse. I certainly won't say I prefer any of 2019 NG to peak Oasis. But it's just different - it's like comparing apples and oranges. Some people like both. Some people only like one. Some people really hate fruit.

Glad Noel is continuing to try different things but different doesn't make it good. This isn't. Its not even bad its just dull.
TITP is propulsive, energetic just the sort of thing I want him to be doing, this tune is poor by comparison.

Instead, just rewrite the same barely mediocre attempts at madchester, then? Although the dying of the light/if I had a gun/dead in the water were just more of the classic noel-by-numbers tunes, I’ll take the emotive/passionate vocal melodies over these limp whisper/whines any day. But that’s just my opinion. |

A Dream Is All I Need To Get By 7. Evil Flower 8. Wandering Star 9. Sail On I hope he releases a compilation of them altogether. I haven't actually bought any of the EPs as I have no interest in remixes but would like to own the real songs on record. |
