I do enjoy it. Face value - proper R&R stomper. Nothing more, though. The weakest points are the pre-chorus parts. They seem a bit forced. Also, Liam nailed the studio version after god knows how many takes, but it's gonna be a tough song to perform live. Why not doing it live in a lower key? It's not uncommon among artists. Correct me if I'm wrong, but back in 2009 Oasis did this with "My Big Mouth" (?).

It's out! Did something I never do and bought an individual song I'd already heard. Lol. Worth it. Same

Glastonbury will be live on BBC in a few weeks

Weirdly enough, I think Liam started off singing SMS in it's original key when he first played it solo, but by Finsbury I'm sure he'd dropped it back to the key it was in 2002.

9. Everything I want in a Liam come back single. I'd argue there is more to it than Wall Of Glass.

It's on the level of Come Back to Me to me, whatever that means Yeah sounds about right. CBTM has more to it though imo. 7/10 for Shockwave I think.

I was really into the bridge when it got teased before its release because I thought it would go into a big chorus and just doesnt, thats something shockwave rectifies. wall of glass essentially consists of verse, bridge, repetition of wall of glass, guitar break down, repeat for 3 minutes. I always liked wall of glass but I always thought that it really needed something more. Its like a 30 second snippet, repeated and glued to together.

I do prefer Wall Of Glass, Shockwave sounds like the kind of song Andy and Gem tried for years to write for Liam, but more successful. Good first single.

I'm loving it. Prefer it to Wall of Glass which I also loved. It's very catchy but still has a big sound.

It's dropped to a 6 for me.
I think Wall of Glass is a far superior song: catchier, better hooks, and better lyrics.
Shockwave is too much of a "try hard" song for me: from the lyrics to those forced "Hey's." Also, the song just doesn't sound cohesive to me either. If it was on As it Was, I'm not sure it would be a top 5 song on the album.

It does it's job well enough without being particularly grand. 6 for now. (lyrics on the middle eight )

It is plagiarized. Lol. What were they thinking? They didn't even try to hide it.

I like it, a fun stomper, it'll fit the live set nicely. Have to say a prefer the live version having heard pro shot from AP. Guitars seem a bit heavier.

I guess I'm the only one who really likes the "heys" and the only one who's looking forward to shouting it back at him at a gig.....

Always skipped it when playing the album.

Played loud it's like a perfect banger song. Better than Wall Of Glass if you ask me.

No video news unfortunately, I’ve been trying! Expect Liam to take this down half a step.
