I'm enjoying getting everyone's impressions on SHOCKWAVE. I'm gonna have my first listen tomorrow morning during my run for a little extra motivation. haha

Actually, Nevermind, I'm currently more in the mood for this: you're a legend for posting this tune

It's okay, pretty generic LIAM-ROCK. I'm not really a fan of stompy blues rhythms, even though I quite like a lot of old blues artists. Would be disappointed tonight if I hadn't heard that clip of Once.
If Live Forever is a 10/10 then Shockwave is a 2/10 but I gave it a 6/10 for what it is.

The 7" is (temporarily?) sold out on amazon.

It’s basically ‘Wall Of Glass’ 2.0. Is it as good as it? Only time will tell. At the moment I give it a 7 because it’s fresh. I just wish it didn’t have that compressed radio sound.

@let It Bleed: F**k off.
Didn't Liam shoot a video for Shockwave in Budapest or somewhere? What are they waiting for?

I like it. It's good. It's probably the very definition of a Liam Gallagher stomper.
Don't know why there has been such a heated debate about the ranking system... it's obviously not a 10/10. But for what it is, I'd give it a 6-maybe-7/10. Would sound very good on As You Were, which was a good album.
Better than Come Back To Me, not as good as Live Forever.

Another bluesy-rock song with simple chords. This is not bad but not so good either. 6/10

Meh, 6/10, I expected a bit more I really can't get into the verses, and the "hey"s are annoying The bridge is great tho, and the chorus is growing on me, so it might turn into a 7 with time

nothing is as good as "live forever"...so get over it. i cant understand the comparisons...
"shockwave" is a great first single, 2 and a half choruses if you count the "hey" as a half! 2nd chorus takes the song to another level...love it

I like it. This is one of the songs should be sung by only one Liam Gallagher. Live will do it too.

Went for 7.
Great intro and opening minute or so. Feel like it loses its way a bit later on the song, though can't pinpoint why.
Concerned too that live after a few months on the road will ruin his voice.

This is one of the songs should be sung by only one Liam Gallagher. Actually, in the transition from verse to chrous, it sounds like there's two Liam Gallaghers 😎

Gave it an 8 yesterday after first couple of listens. It sounds even better full whack in the car today. Got an early Stones ‘Not Fade Away’ vibe going on. I know it’s kind of standard blues rock type chords but fuck it. If it’s good it’s good. The guitar tone is very early Keith Richards I think. Love the harmonica and his vocals take it next level as usual. It’s a fucking good tune.

I really like it overall, very catchy.
Think the verses are the best part, and very Jean Genie esque (as well as Spread Your Love).
Really like the chorus but not really sure on the bridge/pre-chorus. Kind of feels a bit of a weird change of pace.
The middle 8 (or is that the bridge) is great.
7.5/10. Great lead single and like that it feels a bit different to AYW.
That 7.5 is based on my 7s for both BSD and Rattling Rose, btw.

I'm just so glad we've got both Liam and Noel bringing out new music at the same time. It's a brilliant time to be a fan. Especially since the music is so different. Of course it draws comparisons/favouritism (which is to be expected) but for me it's great to have two differing types of music.

Not a bad effort. Wall of glass is a better tune then this.

The more I listen to it the more I love it. It sounds more "Liam" than Wall of Glass, and even if it has a classic structure and elements it sounds terribly modern and contemporary
This is what Beady Eye should've sounded like.
