Sometimes you rediscover more obsure tracks that you'd mostly forgotten about and that happened to me the other day with Shout It Out Loud off of SCYHO.
Hearing a lot of Gilmour era Pink Floyd in the guitar work on this and I've heard people say it sounds like Neil Young - Cortez the Killer as well. But it's the vocal melody that takes it over the top for me seems like one of the best from that early 2000s era. The lyrics aren't too bad either compared to a lot of other Noel songs from that time....
Wonder if anyone has any info on this track, has Noel ever talked about it in an interview etc. or is it one of those that we know next to nothing about?

Got nothing to add except I've always thought it was ok, maybe should have replaced She Is Love on the album but other than that...I find it very ok

Just played this on the old acoustic last night for the first time in ages. Solid little tune.

Among the best Oasis b-sides. I've always loved it.

How this tune isn’t on Heathen Chemistry is utterly bizarre. This and Idlers Dream are arguably their strongest songs from this period!

I'd give it a 6/10 (6.5 at a push). It's very average but stands out a little among the generally poor songs of this period and 00's b-sides. It's better than some tracks on the album but I'd still consider it not good enough.

I believe Noel first described this track in mid 2000 calling it Pink Floyd meets Neil Young Crazy Horse. I can totally feel both vibes. Probably a little stronger with Floyd. Think early 70s like the album More and Obscured By Clouds.

Yeah I remember him talking about it a while before it came out and was surprised it only made it as a b-side as he was bigging it up quite a lot as a potential single. I have always really liked it and thought if could have been a number 1 single if Liam had sung it.
