This is another song I don't like that much, but I understand that it was their manifesto.

Any song off DBTT that's liked by fans. Never found Lyla, Turn Up The Sun or Idle that good.

That's underrated by Oasis fans if anything.

Not the song itself but the American kids who loved champagne supernova only because it says “we were getting high”. Fuck off!

A lot of Noel's earlier songs do have that problem though. Using the same lyrics in the second verse (after the first chorus) probably helps to make a song more catchy/memorable, but it's lazy.

It starts to grate on you the longer the song goes.

Oasis: DLBIA Beady Eye: Four Letter Word NGHFB: Ballad of the mighty I LG: Come Back to Me I thought I was in "the best oasis song" thread because couple of years ago that would've been the case for me Come Back To Me might be my favourite from AYW

I always listen to the live version from Maine Road when I listen to it, sometimes skip it when I am listening to the CD but when I listen to music off my phone or laptop I have that live version downloaded. The way it sounds there it is one of the best songs I have ever heard, production on that song just wasn't that great on the album IMO.

It’s Good to be Free.
I was never s big fan to begin with, but Noel’s over saturation of this track when he went solo really ruined it. Hardly a subtle messsge brother Liam lol.

Wonderwall: Great song, but I just hate what it has become. It is "the" Oasis song. It irks me whenever I mention Oasis and someone responds with "I LOVE them!" and then immediately mention Wonderwall as their favorite... I'll also throw in The Importance of Being Idle. I just grew tired of this one rather quickly, and with it being one of the tunes Noel brings back with every tour...UGH!
I want to say Don't Look Back in Anger; however, every time Noel plays that live, or it comes on when I'm with a few other fans... What a great feeling to be in a room of fans singing that at the top of our lungs!

I’m Outta Time
That song clearly shows the difference between Noel and Liam.
With Noel we get majestic ballads, with Liam we get a half baked song. IOT isn’t even close to being the best off of DOYS. Solid, but nothing more.

I'm Outta Time - little more than a rehase of Little James musically to my ears.
Wonderwall - just because it's so overplayed
Don't Look Back In Anger - same as above
Morning Glory - Fun for the first half, second half just rehases the first and adds nothing. All buid-up no substance. Album would be better without it
Cigarettes & Alcohol - famous for the one line, nowhere near good enough for a single and by far and away one of the 3 worst songs on Definitely Maybe
Go Let It Out - nowhere near the tune everyone makes it out to be. It's ok for sure but it just does not go anywhere. Lyrics are not exactly brilliant either
