The demo is fucking great so I see no reason why he shouldn't be singing it.

Good Noel version, but this song was made for Liam to sing, Liam can take this song to another level.

I can't get over that "Go Let It Out" came out 18 years ago. I remember the long wait leading up to the recording of SOTSOG, the sudden departures of Bonehead and Guigsy, the hiring of Gem and Andy and that December USA mini tour in 1999. I wanted it so badly during that holiday period. One more single in the 90s I thought. When it did drop I was 18 years old. Think about that. I've since doubled my life. Wild. Fucking wild.

I like it.
This version suits Noel and his higher tenor singing style. Plus as it is now, there's room for him to return to the regular no capo, normal key version like what's on the album. I actually like that he changed the key on it because it reflects the hopeful and upbeat mood of the WBTM era while the original version has its roots in being a break from a lot of the despair experienced during the SOTSOG era. I'm glad Noel brought this one out, though. It's a good surprise and should definitely stay on the setlist.

I was VERY against this at first, but at least Noel is giving me a chance to hear it live for the first time (providing he doesn't drop it for the UK) as Liam probs won't ever sing it again. He needs to bring back the "pick up the BASS" though otherwise WHAT'S the POINT

Well played, but the acoustic guitar doesn't suit the track at all. Do you feel the same about the studio version?

I've noticed he seems to be playing a slightly different 'riff' (for lack of a better word) in the intro.
The standard chords when playing this without a Capo are A7, D, Fmaj7, G for the verse. He seems to be doing a hammer on the A7/A and given he's playing it in a different key with Capo second fret it adds a country vibe to it that I think really works.
Think he's also replaced the G in the verse with an E5, though I can't quite tell.

Well played, but the acoustic guitar doesn't suit the track at all. Do you feel the same about the studio version? No, because - as I already wrote on my social network page - the acoustic guitar suits the studio version and spices it up, while in the live version of GLIO the acoustic guitar is buried in the overall sound (even if we're judging from an amateurish recording, I know this and this has to be said). There's a reason why they chose to play this track with two electric guitars at that time. And the reason is the live rendition of two electric guitars is way better. Just my two cents.

I'd suggest listening/watching a higher quality vid, then. If you can't here Noel's acoustic mate then there's a few better ones out there now. I have no musical ear at all yet I'm still able to distinguish just by listening what he's playing. And it sounds fine to me. It's different. And that's good. I'd much rather Noel do it in that semi-acoustic way rather than do an electric version, where he'd have to strain to hit the tone etc. Look at what that did to Liam's voice. This song - and playing it every night of the SOTSOG tour and the first chunk of the HC tour - didn't help him at all. Respect your opinion of course, and I get that not everybody likes Noel's renditions of Oasis songs that Liam sang, but personally I think this has been done right

It's cool. Not blown away by it or anything and obviously if you really wanna do the song justice Liam has to be the one singing it but all in all happy he brought this one back and didn't butcher it like he did with CS tbh

Again, if it was Noel trying to do an impression of Liam/match Liam's vocals, it'd be stupid. But it isn't. He does it and makes it his own, which is fine by me. Listen Up was great on the last tour but I think when he played that electrically (as he did) then it lacks the power of Liam's vocals.

Anyway, if any beginner guitar players like myself want to strum along to this version, the chord (or chord shapes, give it's a different key) are:
Capo 2nd fret
Intro/Verse 1: A7 (hammer on both the B and D strings), Dsus2, Fmaj7, E5 (I think).
Chorus: D, Fmaj7, A7, Cadd9
'Keeper of their destiny': Alternate from a G to a D, staying on a D until...
Verse 2: A7, D (not Dsus2), Fmaj7, E5
Chorus: D, Fmaj7, A7, Cadd9
'Builders of their destiny': Alternate from a G and a D, staying on D...
'So go let it out, go let it in': D, Cadd9, G
Outro: Stay on a D (hammer on the B string on the 4th fret), Cadd9, G, Dsus4, A7

As you understand, I'm not saying it's a scandal or anything, it's just that Noel's voice is too soft for these kind of songs for my liking. GLIO is an 'arrogant' song which needs Liam Gallagher on vocals to me. Nobody else could sing it without it losing its punch.
