Sunday Morning Call = Who Put the Weight of the World on my Shoulders
They are, quite literally, the exact same song in every single way
I used to really like WPTWOTWOMS, and while I still do like it, I find it dull as all fuck. Boring as hell production.
The production is equally bland on Sunday Morning Call, but the dreariness sort of fits the song.
I’ve always liked Sunday Morning Call and never understood the hate for it from both Noel and the fan base. It’s also the exact same song as WPTWOTWOMS.
In fact, over the last couple years, I’ve preferrred SMC over WPTWOTWOMS....I just find the latter so uninspiring.

SMC and WPTWOTWOMS are the same song as much as fight music by D12 sounds exactly the same as wish you were here by pink floyd

Actually you're not the only one to think that they're similar. Their chord progressions and melodies aren't that similar, but I've always felt that one reminded me of the other.

I've ALWAYS preferred Sunday Morning Call. As you say, the production on WPTWOTWOMS makes it so boring. Ok, it works on the film soundtrack but on it's own...I can't even remember the last time I listened to it
