Loving that new track 'four out of five' cool organ sounds by Alex Turner. Sounds a bit Bowie / Last shadow puppets.

Got to say I'm far from impressed by what I've heard of these new tracks. Just seem so lifeless, and seemingly by design as well.

I don't like guitarless Alex Turner. He needs it to stay bearable.

It doesn’t even bother me that Alex adopted this persona 5-6 years ago and has kept it going. I just hate how it’s affected the music. A lot of it is really boring and slow to me and I just can’t get into it as much as I could pre-AM

Couldn't watch longer than 1.5 minutes. I guess I'm going to give the album a chance, though...

Been reading some reviews, and it seems it is closer to TLSP2 than AM, and I love that.

I just can only take a certain amount of slow songs from these guys before I get super bored

In 2009 before Humbug I thought they would follow that more orchestral TLSP path, it would have been a huge step foward for them, but I liked Humbug in the end.

I'm actually now bored of this album already and its not even out yet, Underwhelming would sum it up for me.

Better than wearing bomber jackets and shaping your hair like the end of a toilet brush like every other young man seems to these days. All men look the same and all women look the same. If you're a rockstar (and, let's be honest, a good looking chap as well) you should be dressed boldly. If I was the frontman of one of the biggest bands around, I'd be going full Marc Bolan every night. Pink feather boas, glittery trousers, big mass of hair (I don't even have curly hair, but I'd grow it out and perm the bastard until it looked like I did).

I don't know if I like it or not. I feel like it's a great album to drive at night with.
She Looks Like Fun has some cool Iggy Pop elements to it.

Well, there go my first impressions after two listens: Some guy posted here the trayectory of the band, the first album was a garage british lad record, then FWN came with a heavier sound and more quiet songs. Humbug was their attempt of making a desert stoner rock sound with darker vibes. SIAS is a perfect indie summer album and AM is more of a commercial approachment with some hip hoo vibes. And then TBH&C,which to me is a sequel to Humbug. Guitars are almost gone, they only used them to decorate the song. But there are still those dark sounds, and personal lyrics undercovered with metaphores. And talking about the lyrics,is the most personal record to Turner. Definitely could've been a solo album but with that production and the instrumentation it got the Arctic Monkeys feel. If you listen Alexandra Savior's Belladona Of Sadness and the latest LSP album this album comes as no surprise. I mean,is exactly what I've expected. And it's a great album.
Star Treatment: Great opener. The lyrics speaks for itself. Sounds like something out of an elevator but with David Bowie singing on it.
One Point Perspective: One of the bests. Heard it in low quality live and thought it would be great in the studio. Love it and love how is connected to American Sports. The little solo in the middle is great as well.
American Sports: The melody on the chorus is catchy as fuck. At first didn't tell me nothing but when the album ended I got that 'But I never thoooought' on repeat in my mind.
Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino: Love this one. Might be one of my favourites of the album. The guitar sounds brilliant and as Bowie does, there are too many unnecesary chords in the back but in the end fits the song perfectly. Have to mention the bass too.
Golden Trunks: I think that this one is the weakest of the album. Aside from that the vocal melodies sounds great. Reminded me of Everything You've Come To Expect (song).
Four Out Of Five: One of the greatest again. The hit. Its a bit too long, but I wouldn't mind if the song was like that YT trailer. The intro is gone. And the outro goes forever. But I fucking love this one.
TWFEMTFF: A bit of a filler. But like the rest of the album, the instrumentation is so interesting that even a filler can be good. Sorta Queen sing along melody.
Science Fiction: Can't believe that Miles Kane isn't on this song. The guitar sounds like something he would do. It can get a bit boring, but reading the lyrics while listening the song can make it more interesting.
She Looks Like Fun: You can hear Iggy Pop influence here. The entire album got a vocal style in the way Alex did with TLSP when they covered Leonard Cohen on Is This What You Wanted. The guitar solo again is great. As I said, the guitars here only decorate the songs, the piano is on EVERY single song.
Batphone: Sounds like an AM b-side tbh. Like it,but it can get a bit repetitive.
The Ultracheese: I was hyped as fuck with this song. Fits the ending perfectly. The lyrics are great and it sounds like a guy singing on a piano on an hotel coffee. Love it.
Overall is a great album, not their best but definitely not their worst. It almost feels like a cleaner Humbug. Got TLSP vibe around all the album, but no strings. I can't rate it because only listened to it two times and its a bit early. A perfect album to listen at night with a couple of candles on. I get a feeling that everyone is going to hate it here, but imo,TBH&C is a gem that feels like a song of 40' duration. Probably their most solid record.

Yeah, leak quality is shit. But I think that songs are just not that good, that has nothing to do with leak quality. Altough, I need to listen to it few more times and properly.
