Not necessarily the best, mind, but most important or significant?
The 90s has shed loads: Wonderwall, DLBIA, SMS, Champagne Supernova.
But how about the 00s?
The Importance of Being Idle comes to mind as it ushered in Noel’s purple patch which has continued to this day.
SCYHO for being a standout and thus important moment of the HC era seems almost equally significance.....
Noel, would of course, say TIOBI. But is he right?

Lyla maybe? It really helped their resurgence in popularity around 2005

Lyla was popular back in the day, remember it being on Fifa 06 too.

Lyla was popular back in the day, remember it being on Fifa 06 too. I remember playing FIFA 06 with my cousin and that when the song came on, I might have been a little too enthusiastic about it. 😂

Stop Crying Your Heart Out put Oasis firmly back on the map for the first time since 1997, so gotta be that I think.

Both of Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Lyla as they were both vital to bringing Oasis back from a nostaglia act people saw them for, to being more mainstream (for want of better wording)

I remember playing FIFA 06 with my dad and the first time we played together, Lyla started playing and he went like
"Holy shit, these guys are still alive."

Hmmm, probably Lyla too, personally. This was actually the first I'd heard of Oasis (I was 11 then).
Lyla being a quite good song led me to take notice of the follow up in the form of TIOBI, which I *loved*. This led me to take notice of their older songs on the 'retro video' channels, which in turn led to everything else for the rest of time.
So, double bill of Lyla and TIOBI.
