Two years of Oasis reunion arguments now while we wait for a new album.

This is a great interview. Definitely. I loved that Noel address the hypothetical reunion lineup. Not gonna happen. Can we please stop having that discussion/thread?

A reunion is just as likely as Noel putting out a double album. The latter is not likely unless Noel goes on a serious bender and releases all his archives for free on line with minimal editing... otherwise, he’s too uptight and concerned about his legacy for the sprawl and unruliness of a good double album

In the streaming age we no longer get b-sides.
If Noel did a double album, he’d just be adding what would have been b-sides to the album.
Arguably many of these EP tracks are the b-sides we should have got with the Moon singles.
It’s really not out of the realms of possibility for Noel to do a double album. He half did it with CY and it’s bonus disc.

Ok, lets do this:
1. A Dream is All I need to go By' 2. Wandering Star 3. This is the place 4. Evil Flower 5. Rattling Rose 6. Sail On ... ... 7. Black Star Dancing
With respect to my initial impression, Rattling Rose and Wandering Star have gone up and Sail On has gone down a little.

A 107 page hype thread for a an album that is so far away that before a note is recorded the producer has to choose the carpet in the studio.

Were these EPs leftover from the WBTM sessions, or were they written after the release of WBTM?
Because if they were leftovers, some would have merit on WBTM proper as I find that album incomplete, short of one or two tracks.
Can someone clear this up for me?

Because if they were leftovers, some would have merit on WBTM proper as I find that album incomplete, short of one or two tracks. Can someone clear this up for me? All of these recordings were made post-WBTM - except most likely Rattling Rose and Sail On, which both sound like outtakes from earlier sessions pre-dating WBTM. Both of them sound like CY outtakes in both production values and musical style. As for whether the rest of the songs were around during WBTM, we know for a fact that This Is the Place has its origins in WBTM sessions (apparently David Holmes wanted it on the album), but the released version is probably a completely different version from the one worked on those sessions, because Holmes doesn't get a production credit. The rest, I'm not sure. They could've been among the songs that Holmes banned Noel from using on WBTM because they weren't written in the studio, except for Evil Flower which was probably written in the studio post-WBTM. That's just speculation on my part, though.

1. A Dream Is All I Need To Get By (his best song since WTSRTS) 2. Rattling Rose 3. Blue Moon Rising (from the little clip I can tell this is the best song out of the three cosmic pop we are going to have) 4. Sail On 5. This Is The Place 6. Wandering Star 7. Evil Flower 8. Black Star Dancing

1. This is the Place 2. Black Star Dancing 3. Sail On 4. A Dream is All I Need to Get By 5. Evil Flower 6. Rattling Rose 7. Wandering Star
While none of these tunes blow me away individually, they're a consistent and well-varied bunch together. I'm glad Noel put them out.
