I wonder what Noel is gonna offer up come Record Store Day. I am assuming he won't sit it out this year like he did in 2023 despite announcing in 2022 that he would do a yearly RSD drop. Ha! Noel gonna Noel.
Prime contenders:
1) In A Little While / Love Will Tear Us Apart 7". This is the easiest and laziest route for Noel to take. He's done it before with the New Years Eve gifts of 2020 and 2021.
2) Abbey Road sessions EP or LP. Sure Noel gave us 2 tracks from the sessions last month but we know they recorded 14 tracks in total. I'd like to see fuller release of those wonderful performances.
3) Remixes. Lame lame lame lame lame lame.

I missed this - where/when did that get confirmed? I'd take this option over either of the other two. Which means we're definitely getting #3.

For me, Dead to the World and Think Of A Number are Noel’s highest achievements as a songwriter since going solo.
Both are truly stunning, vulnerable, and beautiful.

Both are truly stunning, vulnerable, and beautiful. 30 years later and still it’s the same two feelings. The first, when Liam growls out a sweet hook about rainbows, and the second, when a wistful Noel sings he hopes it comes around again. Plus ça change, plus que c’est la même chose.

This album IMO is still a terrific listen 6 months after release, and I think it will be a album that ages well.
For me, it's like taking a soak in a warm bath at the end of a long, troubling day and letting your cares evaporate but in melody form.
This is all I'm looking for in records I listen to, or the principle thing I want. NG, for 30 years now, gives me what I need and then some.
And, to think, a gem like "In A Little While" was left over; a wonderful little bonus to put the full stop on a (mostly) successful 2023.

I really enjoyed it last night and now I think that album was a bit misunderstood.
I hear it differently now and there is just something special about the sound of an album.
Everyone should just relax and enjoy it and stop looking for big hooks and choruses.
There is some magic there.
After all, it is Noel. Sometimes even we don't trust him, let's not talk about average music fan who sees him as a two chords Beatles wannabe.
Noel has a great ear for music and after all, he must know what he is doing 😁

But contradictory, I added two songs with big hooks and choruses and will try to see how this works. I still think that album lacks two good songs. Let's see what it would like if Noel saved those two songs for CS.

Oh yeah, without "Open the Door, See What You Find" first half is already much better. That song is just terrible. That intro and verses are so shit, maybe it becomes better later but it is to late already.
Not sure about "We're on Our Way Now" and "Flying on the Ground", they don't fit perfectly but I would like to hear remixes of those songs with "Council Skies" production. Maybe they just don't fit 100% because production is different.
