Can’t even remember what name is on the back of my 2014 one. And the euros one.... prob still get one this time tbh 😂

England to win the final against any opposition 4-0. Don't forget the rule with the Three Lions; the least you expect from them, the less worse they do

Football is corrupt as fuck. How can Paolo Guerrero play in the World Cup even though he got caught with cocaine use but Roman Eremenko had to suffer the whole 2 years ban It's a fucking joke. I know cocaine can be seen as doping but there were only small traces of that substance in Eremenko's body which means it was recreational use the previous weekend. Getting a 2 years doping ban is a fucking disgrace. Yes he was stupid but instead of punishing him he should've been offered help or something to get back in the pitch, clean. He was arguably the best player in Russian league at the time and Finland's number one star, lots of transfer rumours to teams like Man City as well. Getting that long ban pretty much ruined his career.

Can we do a sweepstake, I’ve not enough time for that fantasy team thingybob I don't mind organising this seeing the fantasy draft isn't going ahead. Think we'll get 32 players tho? (can also seed the teams into top/bottom 16 and have two each). ~€£$5 a reasonable price in? No point doing this one just for fun.

He was doing interval training and these are the times he clocked: 2X1200m: 3,40 + 3,52 minutes 2X800m: 2,32 + 2,36 minutes 2X400m: 66 + 70 seconds For a footballer those are pretty damn good I'd say.

I’ll go.... France v Argentina in the final. Not with Deschamps. Always thought he was a decent manager. Certainly club level he’s done many a good job. A bit unlucky two years ago (in fairness, Euro 2016 was a dreadful tournament with dreadful games) and even against champions Germany four years ago, so I expect them to have a fair crack at it this time around.

If you only look at the players, France should be among the favorites, but they have not reached anywhere near their potential yet, and I think much has to do with Deschamps. Maaaybe they could reach the semi finals this year, but it would be despite Deschamps, not because of him.

Doing the wall chart predictor I got down to a final 4 of France vs Brazil and Spain vs Germany. Very difficult to call a winner out of those but I’ll go for Spain.

No Sané in the German squad?!? Thoughts on this RocketMan? character issues afaik. he never had the right attitude nor did he perform up to his level in our squad and löw is someone who wants to build a team where everybody has his role so he kicks out players that could be trouble during a tournament. hes young and will get his chance in the future.

He must have a REALLY bad attitude then, since his last season was quite remarkable. But Sweden says thank you, our chances of beating you just went from 5% to 5,5%

Conversely though, the French national team have always had issues with egos, and it could be said that Deschamps has done well to keep the lid on it these past few years. A keen disciplinarian, he’s not one to mess with and he’s binned those players who have threatened to run amok. Tactically there are issues though I agree; he was far too cautious with tactics against Portugal in the Euro final two years. To get the best out of them, I really think he should go all out attacking. They are traditionally one of those teams that things could either turn into a disaster or triumph. There’s such a fine line with France in international football.

I think that’s actually a decent shout. I’ve neglected Spain because of their failure four years ago, giving it all that ‘end of an era’ talk, but they’ve improved massively since then. Also, given that all Champions Leagues since just prior to the World Cup have been won by Barca and Madrid, it suggests Spanish football is the dominant nation in the game (Champions League perhaps a good indicator - the all German final in 2013 suggested German dominance just a year before Brazil ‘14).

I'll be supporting Colombia due to the flimsy reasons of my Aunt being Colombian (and they have a class kit).

There’s such a fine line with France in international football. Maybe my judgment is clouded too much from their games against Sweden. We beat them at home, and could easily have taken a point away, in a game where we scored the first goal. Maybe I'm also unfair because of their offensive players, they're so good that you're expecting it to look great every time. But with that said it really should look better... But we'll see how it looks in the coming weeks!
