Pretty happy with the squad although he should have taken a punt on Wilshire or Lallana. Hope Delph gets a minor month long injury so Adam can go.

Only four forwards? Aren't they playing 4-3-3 anymore?

Only four forwards? Aren't they playing 4-3-3 anymore? Pavón and Di María could be considered forwards. But they'll play 4-2-3-1

To be fair, when your four forwards are Messi, Aguero, Higuain and Dybala do you really need anyone else?

Been watching old World Cup summaries the last two days(starting at 1978), and it makes me nostalgic for a time when I wasn't even close to being alive. A real gold mine not only because of the actual football, but everything else surrounding it. Next up is the tournament of 1990, not as cheerful for a Swede as the one that would come after... but nevermind, it's only two weeks left and I'm getting myself really hyped

I’m still not excited at all about the World Cup or England.
I’m hoping that changes as the matches get underway.
I’m not the biggest fan of International football and post-2006 England have been terrible.

He is a different kind of striker than Higuain and had a great season with Inter, yes he had bad games with Argentina beforehand but he was tried in a time where everyone was shitting their pants.

Icardi is not clicking with the rest of the players. The other guys don't like him, their wives don't like Wanda. As crazy as it sounds, that's why he's not on the team

I've done one of those prediction things, and here are my final sixteen, as well as the quarter finals:
Uruguay - Iran France - Croatia Brazil - Mexico Belgium - Poland Spain - Russia Argentina - Denmark Germany - Costa Rica Colombia - England
Iran - France Brazil - Belgium Spain - Argentina Germany - Colombia
So for some reason I think Iran will be the big surprise, even though I'm sure it would end against France. The big chock would be Portugal not advancing from the groupstage, in which they face... yep, Iran.

I find it silly that there are international friendlies 2 weeks prior to the World Cup beginning.
Yeah I understand preparations and math fitness but not only are you revealing potential game plans, you also risk injuries. God I despise international football.

I understand the need for friendlies but I rarely watch them.

2 weeks today! Friendlies are pointless since you could change your whole team, too many of them and the grip clubs have over the players means a lot don't give a toss when it comes to these matches. Practice games are needed at this stage tho. 2 weeks till the start, even when the tournaments are shit I still love the world cup! Still can't see past the big 4 not winning, 7/2 for three of them to make the semis. Looking back on past few: 2014: GER / ARG / HOL / BRA - prob 4 of the 5 favourites, Spain being the other 2010: ESP / HOL / GER / URU - 3 top teams, Brazil & Argentina out in quarters to Holland & Germany. Holders Italy out in Group Stages. 2006: ITA / FRA / GER / POR - 3 again, Portugal strong outsiders, Brazil & Argentina quarters again. Looking at that there has strong reason for BRA / GER / FRA / ESP to make semis, past years have seen more "big" teams compete despite this being the largest pool of teams ever. No Italy or Holland this time round and England will be also rans yet again. Only spanner in the works is Argentina or Belgium, Argies I just don't fancy this time around and although I expect Belgium to do very well, I see them going out to one of the four favourites. Writing this I've convinced myself to take the bet!
